HD is HD. Unless you have a huge TV you won't see much (if any) difference. Personally I'd say you're better off spending the money on a game and keeping the setup you have.

I see a slight difference, you can find cheap HDMI cables off internet or I think mine was 20$ from walmart, if you have extra cash around might as well there is a slight difference but nothing HUGE.

I notice a difference on my tv, but my component cable is third party :? although it looks stunning on my other tv (23inch I use for pc monitor). HDMI is a lot brighter and more colourful on my 50 inch set.

The video quallity is slightly clearer using HDMI. To me the big advantage is less wires behind the TV set. When I have a choice I would allways go HDMI.

it depends on the quality of your kit (Tv and audio receiver)... If you have a really good kit you should really invest on good cables too.
Ohhhhhhhh and, cheap cables = cheap resolution! If you're going to buy an HDMI cable for a very good Kit, at least buy a good cable. Otherwise, you're spending money for nothing.

Again, it really depends on the overall quality of your kit

HDMI delivers slightly clearer picture and sound. I would recommend it for HDTV's.

And older 360's do not have HDMI ports but Madkatz is making an adapter.

I got a 6ft HDMI cable from monoprice.com shipped for $9. Don't believe the lies and think you need to spend a lot of money for the cable. Check out the customer reviews - http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10240&cs_id=1024008&p_id=3992&seq=1&format=2
