I want to change my gamertag but all the good names are taken and I would have to put numbers at the end of it. Im thinking of changing my gamertag to run fat boy cause I play as cole all the time on gearsand run, is that a good gamertag?.

Better than xXx insert_gamertag xXx IMO, unless you mean adding a random, or non-random, assortment of numbers at the end. Don't like that either.

I think number are ok as long as there isnt like 10000 of them. i put 07 on my GT but not because it was taken just because 7 is my favorite number and it looks better with a 0 in front of it.

As long as the numbers aren't "69" or "420" I'm fine with it.

I usually see the gamer tag as a kind of "title" or name so I usually don't enjoy numbers,

unless it's a few and still sounds good when saying it then it's all good :P

I'm definitely not a fan of it,but that's my opinion. Personally I think names with xX"name here"Xx are far more annoying.

i think numbers and the double x's make names look bad and unoriginal unless the numbers are used as letters. think of something original. just put random words together.

Keep it to a minimum, sometimes you just can't make the name you want without a number or two or an X. Some people get out of control with stuff like xXx1000Gam3RtAg420xXx. We should be able to file complaints against people with ridiculous gamertags. It even hinders online games because you don't know what to call someone as their name is either binary code or an algebra problem.

I can understand people putting in a small number (like from a favorite athlete or if they're a fan of "herbal medications"). as long as the GT has some piece of it that can be called out.

OmegaMaster007 - Good, I can call you Omega, and anyone who doesn't know the significance (yeah I spelled that all wrong I'm sure) of 007 is, well I have nothing kind to say to them lol.

XxX0m3ga74092y6453m@s3R - Bad, know clue what to call you. so when I say "Dude, behind you" and you die, it's your own fault because I haven't a friggin clue what to shorten that into.

i have numbers in my name cause im 1337.

lol Just kidding. I actually named my self david bowie was because in turok for 360 i used the bow alot and i thought it was funny when i 1 shot people and in that game you could talk to the person that you killed and you would hear people being like " david bowie WTF". I had to do numbers though because it was obviously taken.

Random numbers are lame. My GT has "347" at the end of it because my friends and I from freshman year in high school had an anime/manga club called E.A.T.(Extreme Anime Teachers) and my character was Kaze(a cloud with an attitude(and itsits pronounced Kah-zay) who was awesome in the comics and stuff we made) but yea, my 347 after my name is a sentimental thing cuz I havent seen any of those guys in forever... Good times, good times. But yea 420 or 6969 and stuff is lame.

I don't think it's a real big deal, as long as I can just call your name out on the mic. Hiding a number or two to look like letters isn't that bad either.

But I automatically think anyone that has the word 1337 (leet) in their name to be incredibly stupid.

reason why numbers suck is because someone already has that GT. Be original and come up with a name and dont by all means dont have the double X stuff like xXSTOPSHOTXx yeah that is bad and noobie same with Metallica412 or slipknot1993 or something have cool original name or have a funny name

like.... W00KI3S or something something thats either badass or something thats funny that will make poeple laugh when you kill them. My first tag was Munkygoboom it was pretty funny.

I have two metalmaggot names:

MetalMaggot46 and MetalMaggot66,

I also have a combat arms name: Darklife66

I put numbers in not because it was taken, but because I just like #'s :P

although I do frown upon people who put 1337 after thier name

My gamertag is actually a nick name given to me by my mates based on my full name, unfortunately someone else got there first so i had to stick UK on the end. I think as long as it has some relevance to you and is not completely random, besides there some people out there with terrible tags with out the aid of random numbers. I remember when halo 3 came out, you couldnt join a lobby without see at least 4 or 5 variations of Spartan or Master chief (xXx Spartan 12342424 xXx, sad very sad)

If its something with 1-3 numbers in it, without any x's -'s or random crap like that, I have no problem.

It may take some time but you could probably still get a 'good' gametag without any numbers, you just need more imagination.

I don't see why people have a problem with it. If the gamertag you want is taken the only choice is to add a couple numbers. I can't believe how many people have a problem with it.

numbers arent a bad thing, as long as they are used in moderation

its not terribly difficult to make a gt w/o having to put numbers in there
