Or are there not many games to look forward to in the upcoming months? Last year was a great year for the 360 but this year seems kind of dead. Now I'm not disregarding the few greats we have this year, both released and unreleased (Condemned 2, GTA IV, Saints Row 2, Battlefield: Bad Company, Ninja Gaiden II), but c'mon now, nothing else seems to stand out as a breakthrough game. Am I the only one feeling this way?
I duno, i'd call gta 4 a breakthrough game based on how the other ones were. but yea I do kind of agree with you to. theres not really anything coming out that hasnt been done before. either way, im looking forward to lots
The gaming industry had a HUGE year last year, of course its going to seem like theres nothing coming this year. Video games really do go in cycles. They have a huge year then rebuild the next year or two then have another big year. Also the majority of major games come out in the later months around christmas. Not a problem in my eyes because it gives me a chance to catch up on all the other great games I missed plus Im sure there will be a few sleeper hits like always.
Save your pennys and buy all 3 systems. (like me) Then there is never a shortage of games. Well sometimes but not as often. Anyone that can afford it should not only own 1 system, if gaming is your hobby

I actually have an XBOX 360 and a Wii and while gaming is my hobby I would rather spend my money on other things that I enjoy as well, lol. Keeping up with games for 3 different systems is EXTREMELY expensive in the long run and while I can afford it for the most part, like I said before, I have a few other priorites that I have to take care of (college, my new apartment, getting my car fixed, etc.)
I agree. Even some of the most recent releases(RB6V2, Frontlines, Condemned 2), didn't interest me much.
GTA IV is my next purchase...after that, there won't be an interesting title for a while.
In the meantime, I'm catching up some backwards compatible Xbox games that I never had a chance to play(I only owned a ps2 before). I just finished Fable Lost Chapters and now I'm playing Indigo Prophecy. Great games!
