So, let me get this out of the way. I like COD:WAW. It's a great game. The campaign was fun, thank God for co-op, and Nazi Zombies is great. The multiplayer is also good, but could use a little work. Like maybe a patch.

Is it just me, or does the multiplayer really come down to who sees who first? And really, I go on and see people glitching and stuff. This kind of crap shouldn't be tolerated.

I havn't played much multiplayer, but when I did I didn't see any glitching. I could usually hold my own, but most of the times when I did die it came down to me lagging, which i'm guessing is mainly due to me living in Australia. I think when people run around the map using close and midranged weapons that it's a bit "First come, first serve", but I don't play like that, that often.

Yes the whole who sees who first multiplayer is slightly annoying but it can be tolerated. Also yes glitchers should be banned but i doubt they will be. I see people glitch in plenty of multiplayer games the best thing you can do is just leave and file a complaint.

CoD4 is the same way, don't worry. It's how the gameplay works in CoD, it's based on run and gun tactics. First person who gets the drop on the other usually gets the kill. There's really no way to defend yourself aside from camping and most of the time that doesn't work so in this game you have to keep moving and hope you spot someone before they spot you.

I rented CoD4 last week. I would have kept it out again but the multiplayer wasn't holding up for me. Don't get me wrong..for having been out a year the MP is WELL populated and I never had to wait more than a minute for a game to start. But because it had been out for a year there were so many people using 'glitches' to constantly get the drop on me it ended up boring me. And somehow my paultry level 3 at the time was enough to get me placed into games where no one was below level 30 and there were at least 3 other players in the match level 55. Here's a summary. Spawn, dead. Spawn, dead. Spawn dead. About 15 minutes of that. Granted I bought a 360 and started playing the game a whole year too late to really enjoy the MP portion. Unfortunately I hadn't had the chance to play long enough to find the glitches. I wouldn't USE them but at least I would know what advantages others were gaining over me by using them. But you can't explore very much when my average lifespan between spawns was about 2 minutes...if I got lucky. Not knocking the game itself.. But I was getting annoyed at people flaming me by in-game voice. But again..that's the players and not the game itself. I haven't played WAW yet but chances are by the time I get to, I'll be in roughly the same predicament.

It wouldn't have been so bad if those of us new members weren't flamed because maybe (like in my case) we had to save up for quite some time to buy an Xbox360. But between getting sniped 5 seconds after spawning and then hearing horrendous trash talk about how much I suck at the game isn't a great experience so I'll probably avoid WAW also. I'm not saying that none of the players would be helpful (I could name ONE) but with most of them treating us newer players like crap then new people won't stick around so then those newbies to the game who have attained only level 3 will be forced into matches with 55s. It's the nature of the beast and I know that I won't be missed in the MP anyway. I'll move onto somethin' better.

End of rant. HAH

your joking right? Gears is by far the worst for cross country lag, cod and halo is laggy but u can still hit people, on gears the bullets take a good 2 seconds to actually come out of your gun

I can tolerate the 'who sees who first' gameplay, but it really gets on my nerves sometimes. Like, we've got all these guns and perks and all kinds of stuff. But really, it all comes down to whoever is spotted first and get's the first few shots off. No matter what gun you're using, it will drop them if you see them before they see you. Of course, there's always the fact that you can shoot someone IN THE CHEST with a Springfield, with the Stopping Power perk, at long-range...and be mowed down by an MP40 at said long range. That's how it was in COD4, and that's how it is here, too.

the "who sees who first" gameplay makes sense to me, and shouldn't it apply to any shooting game? if i see you before you see me, it means i have extra time to aim and position myself? which part of that doesn't make sense? and it totally makes sense that someone with a mp40 can mow you down at long range, what you want bullets to stop after a certain distance? haha foolish talk

I don't want submachinegun bullets to travel across the map and through a wall, and still have enough force to kill me instantly. You try that once. Take an MP40, fire from about 150 feet at a wall, and go see if those bullets made it through the wall. Try it.

ok thats just from the "deep impact" haha, and i do know what you mean bought the walls and bullet distance should reduce damage, but if the engine had to calculate "shooting distance + bullet damage - wall thickness, it would probably lag everytime a LMG empties a clip haha, whats your gamertag man, ill invite you sometime lol, and tip of all tips, stay the **** away from walls, they aint solid, use the sandbags, nothing penetrates sandbags not even tank shells, as long as he doesn't shoot the piece of land beside your sandbags and blowyouthef*ckup

Well sure the first person to spot the other would/should have a slight advantage but every time I got killed when they spotted me first it was only a .25 seconds differential. Not enough time for them to get set and be more prepared. Like a split second after I've respawned I'm shot dead. It wasn't by a squatter. In the replay from the other player's perspective they might be just running down the street next to me, turn while running and squeeze off a single killshot which happened to hit me in the gut or the leg....and continue running onward. Yes, he saw me before I did but seriously how much of an advantage should that player have over another player in that scenario? And a single shot to the leg killshot?? It wasn't a mortar shell...it was a bullet! Maybe it severed a major artery and I bled to death in half a second. Now that I think about it..that's kinda cool

Did any of you play counter strike? Same type of thing... most fps actually, who see who first, obviously because you have a GUN?! duh... if your running I see you first and rail your head with a bullet I sure don't expect to be dead, since when has this been different other than halos omg i was a nub shield recharger? Seriously though, there will always be glitchers/hackers in every FPS and there will always be the whole omg i got 1 shot and didnt even see someone aspect, dont play if it annoys you, or play and become the one to annoy people ;) simple
