Is it just me? knock on wood.....

I hear so many people talk bout the red rings and so forth and about all the problems  they've had with there system.I 've had mine since last august and havn't had any major problems with it(Besides the dirt on the disc occassional freeze up).i know MS did have problems with some of them, but do you think its blown out of proportion?All opinoins i'd like to hear from those whose systems have needed repair to those who are luckyknock on wood again).Really stumped by this......

While  mine broke yesterday it was a launch but i neva thought it would break mark these words

-if the 360 startes making weird sounds

-the game starts freezing and checkered matrix white lines appear on the tv

-and it keeps happening when u restart it

that means its dieing AND THAT IT WILL GET THE 3 RED LIGHTS HAPPENED TO ME YESTERDAY AND PEOPLE I KNOW AND PEOPLE HAD THESE EXACT PROBLEMS IN XBOX.COM FORUMS

I got my 360 1 week ago. now im waiting for a box to send it back in... nuff said, never getting a microsoft consle again.mariomusicmaker

This is a perfect example of why you can't trust people online. I've had my 360 for almost a year now, and it still works perfectly fine :P

It's not hard to believe, really the 360 is not a console of efficiency, I mean sure it's great, but it is somewhat unreliable. But the whole situation is overblown by people who just don't like Xbox or Microsoft. I've had mine freeze when I first got it and then just recently I got that first pop up where it says like insert disc into an Xbox 360 console or something like that, this system is not reliable everyone knows it.

Mine has broke 3 times, each time out of nowhere, it is working perfectly fine for months, then one day after an hour of playing without problems, it will just break.

The system is horribly, horribly built but it has such damn good online features and games, makes it just barely worth going through all the struggles.

Had premium since launch. No problems. Sold it to my friend a couples weeks ago so I could buy an elite. Still no problems. I think the problem is that people move it around too much or leave it vertical (standing up) and it doesn't get enough air. I leave it horizontal (like n64) and it's in my open air tv stand. Theres air flow in the front and back so it doesn't overheat. Alot of people close the doors to their stand and that's where some problems arise.

Side note, DO NOT buy a NYKO intercooler. The guy that owned the gameswap in my town tried it and it melted to his 360. It was wicked to see.
