Is it just me or...?

How terrible are these new 360 cases the games are coming in now? I just bought Assassin's Creed 2 and the case is terrible. My friend also got Modern Warfare 2 and the cases are the same, mine from Bestbuy and his from Gamestop. Have any of you guys seen them? They have left out plastic on both sides making it flimsy and the worst part is how hard it is to take the game out. It seriously feels as if you are destroying the game when you take it out. Is this just Microsoft trying to save a few bucks? Or some idiodic plan to save trees?

I save my games for a lifetime so I don't see why this is where they have to cut down.

I was curious as to why they did it, but it didn't really bother me.

I'd rather something else is sacrificed then the cases that protect the discs

The old cases are better, but I don't really mind them...

Do I miss last generation cases, they were actually sturdy and thick, Xbox 360 cases flex, bend, and break way to easily for my tastes.

I hate them with a passion. Good thing you can buy new original cases on ebay.

I feel like I'm in some sort of special ed class trying to get Brutal Legend out of its case. I am all for protecting our resources, but, this seems like a half-assed and lame way to do it.

Option number one for sure, microsoft loves ripping off, this isnt one of those moments but im sure they try to give the worst for most.

what is the big deal??? I have no problem in a game case, and if you are breaking your disc by taking them out and putting them back into your case, you have bigger issues...yeh they are cheaper, but i could care less...ITS A GAME CASE

The only positive thing about this is that the cases are extremely light (but flimsy)...I HATE taking the game out of the case because its lodged so deep into the ring holder that It feels like I'm breaking the game when I try and take it out.:evil:

If they really wanna save plastic , trees etc. why don't they just make the cases smaller like the PS3 versions ?

I hate them. I'm such a sucker for packaging. If a game comes in a cool case and has an interesting manual I feel like I got something for my $60. Games now, especially with this garbage cases, feel like the developer/publisher just doesn't care. It's like they just giving you the disc and the only reason they even bother giving you a case is so they have somewhere to put the barcode.

Yeah the new cases are terrible. My cousin's copy of MW2 cracked the first time he tried taking it out of the case. I saw it, he was being extremely careful, but the damn thing would not come out. Finally he got it out, but there was a slight crack in the center of the disc. The game still works though, even with the slight crack.

Lucky for me, I haven't had this problem, but the new cases are garbage. It shouldn't be tough to take a game out of its case, but with these new cases it sometimes is.
