Is it just me or is this game season a complete overload?

Honestly, there's just too many quality games coming out. I don't have the capital to purchase all of them, and they all look great D=

I wish I had rich parents... I might actually get a job o.o

If the games were spaced out more I would have more time to raise cash! D=

I hate you game devs, for making amazing games.

I've got a list of 5 that I simply can't live without getting

Dead Space

Fable 2

Fallout 3

NHL 09 (old but w/e)

GOW 2

Honestly- and those aren't even just the games that I want. Those are the games that I NEED to get. D=

I'm so upset by this. There's no way I can choose between them. They're all so different and amazing in their own ways.

This year has been pretty good but it still ranks a little below last year. At this time 12 months ago we had:

Bioshock
Assassins Creed
Metroid Prime 3
WarHawk
Skate
Halo 3
Guitar Hero III
Super Mario Galaxy

Plus a few others I probably forgot. This year has a much better pace.

Haha this is honestly making me consider buying a game rental thing from Gamefly...

The only thing is I can only play on my laptop screen, I'm in college x.x

So- not that good of an atmosphere, only thing that works like- at all is headphones... :P

So- games like dead space = not as great of an atmosphere

I do see your point about last year, but alot of those games weren't for me (XBox 360 boy here), so things weren't quite as hectic for me :D

And I'd gotten H3 on launch day so... lol

It just seems like I had more time last year.

Anyway I highly recommend gamefly So far I have gotten(this month) Saints row 2, Fable 2 and fallout is on the way. Going to send in fable soon so I can get Gears 2(the only game that I am buying). I can wait a day or 2 after launch, receive it and then buy the game for about 10$s cheaper then retail I have the 2 game plan which definitely paid for itself this year.

Also the trick to getting new games is to take everything off your list except the game you want then make sure you send in a game so that gamefly will receive it 1-2 days before release to be safe, sometimes they send the new games out a day early

I just think it is a 3 week overload for me.... Actually looking at the calendar its 2. The 3 main games I want this whole gaming season are back to back to back... GHWT, GoW2, and CoD: WaW. The first two will be put on hold because I don't play them online, but I have to find a way to get 60 bucks for CoD. I made the mistake of waiting 2 months after release before I dove into that, and I am not going to do that this time

The past two weeks I have bought Dead Space, Fable II, and NHL 09, not to mention I'll be getting Gears of War 2 in about a week's time. After all of this, I'm just going to enjoy what I have and get Fallout 3 sometime later. Also, depending on how Prince of Persia fairs with the critics, that will be a day-one purchase.

Fortunately, I can afford the games I want to buy, but I just can't find enough time.

My birthday is the day after yours, Nov 9th, and I'm getting a 360 for my birthday. There are just so many great games, I don't know where to start, other than Fable 2 (my wife and I have been anticipating this game for a while now). Fallout 3 and FarCry2 look amazing, but Fallout3 seems a bit overwhelming in some ways. I may wait on those games and just start with Bioshock, Gears 1 and Mass Effect. Lebowski__basic

If you do wait on those games then i suggest condemed and dead rising 2 games that i have owned since last year and still play on a regular basis. They are also cheap nowadays.

Most developers have already tapped into the Xbox 360's full graphical potential.

As for Grand Theft Auto, they haven't even released the two episodic contents yet for GTA IV, so I wouldn't count on a new GTA for quite some time.

Halo 3 came out on Sept 25. That puts it just about in the middle of the other releases.

Thank the lord, I totally agree, I have had gamefly since this time last year and I have probobly saved at least 300 bucks on awesome games.

I just got Fable 2, and i know i don't have even close to enough time to give that game my full attention before rushing out to get Gears 2.

I can't even think about Dead Space or Fallout 3. Those i'm going to have to get when i have a little more free time concerning gaming.

well thankfully, the games are fairly diverse in their genres, so you don't have to be overwhelemed with all of them.

Fallout is a complex and deep fps/rpg but isn't going to be the most action packed game ever

Fable is a simpler rpg thats more fun and hillarious than it is deep

Farcry 2 is a straight up shooter, nothing more nothing less

COD:WAW will be an online blitzkrieg, replacing COD4 at the top

GOW2 is more or less the same game with a new story and improvements over the first. a must have for gow fans

Dead Space is pants pooping scary, brings alot of new ideas to the table, and is a must buy survival horror fans

so pick and choose based on your preferences, but in my opinion Dead Space, Fallout 3, and GOW2 seem like their going to be the best.

wow my b'day is on the 10th november. i might not get any games though, i asked for money to buy a new amp for my guitar. but if i do get a game it will be fallout 3 i reccommend you rent mass effect before you buy it. great game but a short story.

edit: what is the gta iv episodic content. isnt it a 360 exclusive

That would be a good way to look at it as in I am a fan of all those genres...lol.

I have so many games that I want, and I still have a few to catch up on, so many games, so little time. Like one person said, it used to be a money issue for me, now it's just a time issue.
