I installed it and it works fine, both discs. It's just something about the Halo 3 disc that causes issues. So you're good. And yeah, I really like the optional installs, they're great and it's even better when you have the space for it. :D

Any game works great while It's Installed. However, Halo 3 (not ODST) is slower while It's Installed, but I Installed it (Mainly mine had a crack in the middle) so I can't play it unless It's Installed. IMO, I love this feature to be honest.

Well, like what I said, Halo 3 isn't a good game to Install (from what I heard), but I Installed my (original) Halo 3 disk and It works great, and It seems the same when I Installed it, but I had to since my disk got a crack on it so yeah. IMO, I think this is a great feature to stop Overheating problems, and the games loads faster. Oh, and the Disk drive isn't loud.

These people don't know what they're talking about besides one or two. It's fine to install ODST. It's good in fact if you like to install games (I do). But Halo 3 was not made to be installed and it uses different processes that slow the game down if it's installed. Since the second disc is the same as Halo 3 multiplayer it should not be installed or it will slow it down. Bungie didn't alter the code, so it will slow down your game.

Install ODST

Don't install Halo 3 Multiplayer

you cant install the 2nd mythic multiplayer disc because of the way the multiplayer maps load in matchmaking. you CAN install the odst disc, everyting is built on the campaing module

You can safely install the CAMPAIGN disc. Do NOT install the multiplayer disc.

Excactly. It will take far longer to load maps and games if you have your disc installed.Other than that it's fine.
