If I remember correctly you have 3 choices.

HDMI
Optical
Red/White (Left/Right)

The problem with using a PC speaker system without an optical input is converting the different connections. A PC uses the three mini-jack connections on the sound card for surround sound. A receiver uses either 6 RCA, an optical or an HDMI connection. Logitech makes (or used to make, I couldn't find it on their site) a converter that converts the three mini-jacks to two RCA, but that will only give you stereo sound. The only way to get true surround sound out of the 360 is either optical or HDMI.

That link doesn't work unless you remove the ??? from the end. The inputs/outputs on that device appear to be the reverse of what you need. You'd want it to have optical inputs (to accept the signal from the 360) and line-out outputs (to output the sound to the speaker system).

Consider it stolen.
