Is it Safe to buy a 360 now?

Well... I'm sick of my Wii and I'm going to sell it. With the money, I'm planning on buying a 360 most likely. Is it safe to buy one... or should I wait until after e3? There's just so many good games on the 360... but I don't want to buy one and then find out like 2 weeks later that nintendo is bringing out a XBOX console. What are the chances of a new console at this e3?

I'm assuming your worried about the new generation popping up almost as son as you buy the current one, dont worry dude atm there are only internet rumours and confirmed early development statements on the next generation of xbox.

Normally before a console is officially announced theres a lot more hype and info being leaked, plus that with the fact that this generation still has a couple of years to go (at the least, cause its difficult to tell how long a generation will last) I'd say its highly unlikely we'll see th enext generation for another couple of years yet

I think it's a great a great decision to buy a 360 rite now... There are so many good games out and some of them are really cheap, also you'll get a 3 year warranty for the most common errors (RRoD and E74) so u'll be covered till 2012, maybe the year where the new xbox is released

I'll definitely get one. Should I just get the normal XBOX? I don't want Arcade (not enough memory). The original sounds fine. Elite sounds like too much harddrive.

Even if they reveal a new console, it'll be at least like 3-4 years til release, so just get a 360. You'll love it. But buy it at Best Buy and get their warranty so if it breaks you just get a brand new one for free. Well, actually like 40 bucks, but only once. And it saves you from the inconvenience of the crappy microsoft customer service.

only thing i say is wait for the E3 for a better gaming lineup. I havent seen too many 360 games for 09, and i am very considering getting a PS3. But i think the 360 will have alot to show in the E3 so, im waiting.

What you can do is get the cheapest version of the 360. Then buy a 60gb HD on ebay for way cheaper. But the Elite does look bad ass.

You will want a big HD since you can install any game on it and it runs better. And digital downloads are becoming popular.

WTH?

If anything, Microsoft will unveil the Zcam camera bar that detects motion. It plays the same kinds of games that Wii does but doesn't require handheld controllers! If it works as good as everyone says it does, Wii is going to be in big trouble.

Don't wimp out--buy the Elite! You'll be glad you did when you get that 120GB hard drive.

the elite with 2 games is not the new jasper hardware.just trying to sell of the oldfalcons like they did with the holiday bundle that had kug fu panda and lego indy

We would have heard some rumblings of a console being shown if there was one to be shown. If not, their PR people suck.

Well, you get three year warranty for RROD and now E74 (thank god, just requested my coffin yesterday) so unless there's another issue that comes out (wouldn't surprise me) you should be good. 360 is where the games are at without spending a fortune imo.
