Is it safe to say Xbox 360s won't get any cheaper?

I want to get a 360 for ToV, but its the only game I want for it so I want to spend as little as possible. My question is now that the new slims are out and the old models are discontinued is this as cheap as they'll come? Also how hard is it to avoid RRod if I take care of it properly?

I don't think they will get any cheaper for a while.

At £200 for a slim xbox with 250 gig hdd. Thats a bargain as it is. Considering the great exclusives on the console I think that easily makes it neccessary purchase. Tbh though, why do you want ToV? If you want RPGs get Lost Odyssey quite simply the one of the best RPGs in a long time.. And now the chance of rrod is slim now even with the old style console. Besides it has a 3 year warranty on rrod so your console is safe even if it does

I'd say now they are getting close to their lowest value, i dont think they'll be getting much cheaper for a while. The RROD i think is not as frequent as people say it is now. I think people just overhype it and many people are extremely paranoid of it. The amount of time you see someone posting 'Omg my 360 froze today im gonna get the RROD' is just a load of BS, electrical equiptment freezes... period.

This is the probably cheapest it will be until near the end of the year when the Arcade model is released. Chances are it'll cost $150-$200. If you wanted, you could have bought the Arcade or Final Fantasy Super Elite bundles for much cheaper prices than the new S model, but I think there aren't any sales going on currently.

BTW, you can easily find Final Fantasy bundles for $300 - the same price as the 360 S model in the US. I think it includes an extra controller, so it could be the better deal if you're not too concerned about it breaking. Even then, you would get a 3-year warranty over the 1-year warranty of the new model.

You could just buy an arcade for $130-$150 and just play that and all the other 360 exclusive jrpgs you need to play

Thanks for the info I think I might as well buy one now, as I'll probably have to wait a long time to get one any cheaper.

Yeah, its pretty safe to say. With that being said, theres no reason to think there wont be any drops during Xmas season.. Which isn't TOO far away per say.. But yeah, stores usually have deals.
