With tons of new games such as Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Army of Two, the 40th Day, Bioshock 2, Halo Reach not too far from us, and plenty of more titles, you will have a blast with your Xbox. I do, and I don't even have Xbox Live. Also at E3 2009, they said they would like to keep this generation of consoles continuing as long as possible. So that's not until 2013(?)
now is the best time to buy one, the rrod issue is for the most part gone for the new systems. tons of awesome games out and tons on the way. and natal comes out this yr aswell.. Best time of all time to get an xbox 360. the only rumor of a new xbox is one that comes with natal.

It's called Natal, an add-on. I'd say it's pretty good time to get the console considering MS has been able to partially fix the RROD-problem on the new models.
You might as well since PC gaming is dying, the Wii is for grandparents, and this is the 360 forum so I'm not going to bother advertising the PS3.
Here's hoping that when M$ says they want to keep the 360 going as long as they can, they don't mean throwing a bunch of shovel ware down our throats near the end of its lifetime like the PS2.

i have heard 2011 and 2012 from people but that was not official. from the horses mouth, microsoft, has said their next generation console (i still like X3) will accept x-box original and x-box 360 games. okely dokely.

Didn't M$ announce a couple weeks ago, that the 360 has at least 5 more years of support. Stop worrying and get yourself a 360 NEEOWWW!

Honestly, A 360 will cost less than half that of a decent PC (less than the price of a high end graphics card that will be outdated in 6 months) , even if a new console is released next year you will have still got your monies worth as there isnt any hassle or lag (generally speaking) with a console.
No. It's not too late. In fact, it's slightly too early. Just wait a few weeks, because it's rumored that they're replacing the 120GB Elite with the 250GB Super Elite. That's what I'm waiting for to get an Xbox 360 again.

LOL. where are these rumors? and FYI, companies like Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo dont just release consoles in less than a year. They usually say something at E3 a bit further ahead than a year. and if a new console does come out, that doesnt make it "too late" to buy the current console. Dozens of new games are coming out in 2010 for the 360. Get one already!
