Holiday deals are a go. I'm thinking of getting one because of the cheap price, but I'm wondering if it's actually worth it or not.

Depends on if you want to pay to play online. If you don't mind paying for XBL I'd say do it. You'll have lots of fun with the Gears and Halo games.
Hmmm.... At this point i'm not so sure. Depends on how much you really want to play the Xbox exclusives. I mean I pretty much bought a 360 just for Halo 3 in 2007. And it turned out to be a great system with a lot of multiplats running better on it. I also just got and finished Bayonetta and holy cow it was an amazing game! Probably one of the best games this generation in my opinion. I wanted to buy it when it came out but I didn't have the funds back then :P
Forza Horizon is also looking really fun I played the demo and I kind of want to pick it up but i've already spent too much money on games this year lol. I'll be getting Halo 4 and then a Wii U with a few games and then my wallet can take a break.
I am mainly looking for exclusive games. I'm not a big fan of racing sims, but ill look into games like Forza.
One thing that makes the 360 worth it is their excellent multiplayer and overall online experience. They have so many more features and it's all so easy to navigate and very simple. I love it. The 360 wails over the PS3's online system.
But also, if you want to play the 360's exclusive titles, well. I would say it's worth it as well. Gears of War, Halo, Fable, etc. Almost all of their exclusives are fantastic.
So, put the excellent exclusives and fantastic online system to mind, and see what you think. In my opinion, I would tell you it's worth it.
The Xbox made me move from PC gaming to Xbox gaming a long time ago. What I like best about the Xbox is it's online capabilites. The marketplace rocks. XBLA and XBLIG always have a nice little gem in them for little money. You can get older AAA titles "on demand" for little money, and you can play them without having to insert the Dvd.
On the other hand, I wouldn't get myself another console, even if it was on sale. Having one is absolutely sufficient. In the end, they are not so very different at all. They have about the same graphics performance, so you actually don't get to see something exciting, except some exclusive (and great) titles. PC gaming is quite different here, so maybe I'd upgrade my graphics card instead and get to play the newest stuff on high quality. That'd be a difference from playing on my console!
Yes, lots of games published by Microsoft are excellent ones, and usually unavailable on other platforms. An example of an excellent 1st-party one would be Halo, and an example of an excellent 3rd-party one would be Gears of War. A lot of games are also much better on the Xbox 360, and apparently the Xbox 360 controller is perfect for FPS's
Honestly, I sold my PS3 to get one ... the service you receive for online is definitely worth the price! Games run smoother, seem to have better framerates, and online is easy to navigate ... the cross game chat is also a HUGE plus! I think PS3 has better exclusives overall, but I am REALLY enjoying FORZ Horizon right now ... way better than Gran Turismo. I don't miss Uncharted, but I do miss inFamous. THat is the extent of it ... and Blu-Ray players are cheap - you can buy one seperately and it's not that big of a hassle.ChrisRuns7Surely there are players out there who just want the simple means of online multiplayer? Who don't care about cross game chat, easy to navigate etc. If so, why is it that Microsoft have to charge for XBL, and not offer a more basic version for free? Instead, these players (who take the form of the hundreds, maybe thousands of haters of Microsoft) have to pay 30 quid a year, for what they want, plus lots of extras they don't want and don't particularly care about?
I think the 360 owes most of it's success to Call of Duty and Xbox Live. People will pay for it because they have this belief playing CoD on xbl is better. Whether or not that is true is up to your own experiences.
People probably think that because they think that FPS's are naturally better on the Xbox (the controllers might be, but not necessarily the console itself). Oh yeh, and it owes a decent portion of its sucess to Halo players too.I think the 360 owes most of it's success to Call of Duty and Xbox Live. I just bought a xbox, and I'm a long time sony player. I'm loving it so far. There are many RPG exclusives on the xbox. Ps3 is slacking big time with their rpg's. Ps2 gen was a blast for me because of all the rpg's. I was let down by ps3.
So ya, if you are let down by the amount of horrid rpg's on the ps3, then go ahead and buy one. I know you have a PC, so you might be getting your rpg fill there.
Lost Odyssey is a great xbox exclusive rpg that is better than any FF I have played. Surprised it hasn't been talked about more.
Not to mention you get a good console that is generally better for multiplats like Skyrim (which I got for free with the console)
It depends what types of games you like to play. Do some research on Gamespot and see if the Xbox 360 games look interesting to you. I personally own a 360, PS3, PSP, and a DS and they each have their own advantages.Holiday deals are a go. And cheaper :)unless you are interested in halo gears or forza, then a pc pretty much does what a 360 can do...

No. There are not many exclusives on the Xbox 360, its mainly seen as the multiplat console. And also, you have to pay for xbox live gold in order to play online which i feel is a big rip-off. The service isn't 'better', it just provides you with a few additional features which you many not use at all. Xbox 360 is for people who do not own a capable gaming PC.
With your current PS3+PC combo you have pretty much have access to every game except the very few selection of 360 exclusives. Gears/Forza/Halo is all you miss out on. Not worth it in my opinion.
Gears of War is a pretty good series in my opinion, and while you're right in saying there are very few 360 exclusives, I'd say the same thing about the PS3. A lot of games are also better on the 360, and some (unfortunately, like Skyrim) only have DLC's available on one console.No. There are not many exclusives on the Xbox 360, its mainly seen as the multiplat console.
