I heard that if you install a 360 game into your hard drive the loading time shortens a lot, however, it takes quite a space from your hard drive. Is it worth installing? Which games have you guys noticed huge performance improvement?

Every game benefits from an install with the exception of Halo 3 and the maps on ODST. I typically install the games I'm currently playing. When I finish one I delete the install. You can delete the install without deleting game saves. Benefits of installing are: shorter load times, less wear on your DVD drive, your system runs more quietly, and your system will run cooler. I suggest everyone does it unless your HDD is too small (like the 20GB). Most games typically take up around 4-6 GB's.I heard that if you install a 360 game into your hard drive the loading time shortens a lot, however, it takes quite a space from your hard drive. Exactly! I have a launch system and had a 20gb hard drive so I upgraded to a 120gb hard drive. It was worth every penny. So yeah, install them to your hard drive if you can
I too have a 20GB hard drive (I have an original launch system) and usually keep a game or two installed (whichever games I happen to be playing frequently). Like right now I have MW2 and BC2 installed. Have about 1 gig left last I checked.
It's great on Bad Company 2 because you get into the game faster so you get the helicopter or whatever. I just wish I had room though. 20gb hard drive FOR THE LOSS. When I get some cash I'll consider an upgrade.
yea you still need the disci was wondering when you install the game do you still have to use the disc or is all the content saved on the hdd ?

lulz, no wonder I'm sitting in a tank/helicoptor/UAV 10 seconds before the rest of my team:)
So I installed Elder Scroll 4 Oblivion on my Hard Drive and I am loving it. I find there are one or two more glitches and bugs then when I first started playing, but it's still fun. But my 360 still heats up a little bit when I feel the ack of it. From what I understand, Installing games should make my 360 heat up less. Should i be worried or is a bit of heat just normal? Will my 360 live a long and prosperous life provided I play my games from my Hard Drive?
^Yes. It's a good thing to play them from the harddrive, though the xbox will still give off some heat.
I always install to Harddrive before playing mostly any game. It's just a necessity.
It's really kinda of a bit of both. It can be useful for much faster load times with games concealed with so much data to read, but at the same time after the first time you install it and play little game glitches can occur. Not all game developers update their games to work properly for game installation to work without a hitch. Online maps load faster as well, but sometimes you can glitch through maps and players online. I personally remember the time I installed "The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena" and the day I installed the game it worked perfectly. However, the next morning I awoke to play more and finish the end of the game and I walked into this big area, and all of a sudden I literally fell into the bottom of the level. The game glitched me through the bottom of the stage and I had to restart the whole stage over for some unknown reason. So before you install take things into account, like if the developers have made updates that support installation through the hard drive, and If you've already installed the game if you see any signs of glitching.
I usually have the games I am playing the most right now installed on my HD. The only two games I've ever had problems with being installed were Halo 3 and Batman: Arkham City.
As long as you have plenty of space on your hard drive then its worth doing as it is quieter and reduces load times.
