Yes. It really is. Lack of a story line that makes you care, constant swearing, clunky gameplay, ugly graphics, lackluster sound effects and it's just boring.
I went to Blockbuster today to rent it but they were out of stock. I watched my brother play it earlier this year and it looked pretty good. He seemed to like it as well. Though, while it is a regular part of my normal vocabulary they do overuse and drop F-bombs a little excessively.
it's a great game. definitely rent it. you picked a bad site to ask this question on though, almost everyone here will tell you it's a bad game even though they've never played it, all because of a rumor. don't listen to the gamespot review, and especially don't listen to the player reviews (for the same reason as above), rent it and make your own decision.

I didn't like it much. The gameplay was clunky and the swearing was overly excessive. I don't mind some swearing but I don't need the F-word in my ear in every sentence.
i would only play it again if it was with someone else. me and a friend co-oped thru it and it was ok. it had soooo much potential. there were parts in the game that made me think "well if they woulda just done this..."
I had fun with it. Some sections can be hard as all hell.
My only gripes were the awkward cover system and the inaccurate reticle (sometimes you'd aim at an enemy and you'd actually be shooting some lame object in front of you).
Don't buy, but a sure rent. Great game, I don't know what everyone complains about... watch out for MP traitors! Try to get it used or borrow from a friend... wasn't DLC announced or rumoured for it?

its not that we're bothered by it. it just sounds stupid because it sounds like theyre trying too hard to be gritty and to make it a mature game. like b.l.a.c.k. they just swore because they were trying to be gritty, but they did it so much that it just sounded stupid.
No it really isn't that bad, check out the Gametrailers Video review of it. They actually talk abou the game, and show the good things about the game and its aults, whereas the GS review was nothing but an overwight guy bashing the game on everything even the storyline which I found to be one of the best in a long time in TPS games. But the game is short, but nowhere near as short as Cod4, Online is pretty fun at first, buts theres just only one mode. The game is pretty enjoyable, and fun. It isn't mindblowing, it doesn't really show anything new, but is really is fun. If you really are unsure of buying it, just try out the Demo on Xbox Live. Or just rent the game.

When Lynch goes insane on the bank, the cops (well, civilians) have Anubis (Greek God) sort-of dog-like heads. People also split into two other civilians when killed. :D

Ohhhh, I didnt notice that lol. I know who Anubis is, I thought you meant he was in the game so Im like wtf? lol.
It's a fun game. I liked the story some of the letter missions were dull and annoying but overall it was fun. I cared about the fate of the characters and it has two endings if your into that. I didn't like the online because it kind of weird. It's worth a rent.
I think the game sucks and its dissapointing that this comes from the same developer of Hitman. I tried to play the game but I couldn't get past how bad the controls were.
It takes some getting used to. It's not the Hitman/Freedom Fighters/HEAT hybrid I was expecting. It had a couple of "Whoa!" moments, which just barely tips the scale in favor of.
I rented it before hearing anything about it and thought it was both fun and funny. I had a blast w/ it... that is, until i got stuck on the boss battle w/ lynch,s daughter and had to return it.
I only tried the demo, but what i tried in the demo didn't make me regret not getting it, there are quite some bugs in it, and the aiming system feels fake
Around the time that the game was released, I had taken a brief break from my 360. All I heard was bad things about the game from other gamers, and horrible reviews. I wouldn't want to afford even renting and discovering that game sucked due to my tight budget at the time. However, I do believe every game deserves it's play, so I'll rent it and see what all the fuss was about. I'll respond with my judgement when I do. *swoosh*
It's Pretty bad. I rented it, played it for about 15 minutes then went straight back to block buster to return it. That should tell you everything. Only was i would buy that game, is if its on special for 9.99.
