well i'm Asian and train in Mixed Martial Arts so i can relate to Jade Empire. right now all the stores are closed so i'm trying to get it off of someone on Craigslist

thats weird because i played jade empire 2 days ago and i realised something i had always though mass effect was some amazing revolutionary game but its plays exactly the same as mass effect right down the the good and bad stuff even the conversations just dosent look as good. same thing could be said for kotor
Kinda... in the sense that it's an RPG by Bioware. Otherwise, no not really. Where Mass Effect is a Sci-Fi RPG with shoot-em-up elements, Jade Empire is an Oriental Martial Arts RPG. And maybe it was just me, but Mass Effect seemed to have a lot more talking and a loss less action that Mass Effect.

but on topic: i didnt like Jade empire at all and if you have played star wars knights of the old republic then it can be compared to that more directly... and yes Mass Effect is a brilliant game.
Saying they're similar is just false. They may have basic game mechanics that are the same, as it's an RPG but that's it. In no way, does it resemble ME.
I couldn't stand ME. Nor KOTOR. Jade Empire is the only Bioware game I enjoyed, so I wouldn't waste your time and money, imo.
