I doubt it, exclusives are not as important to a console towards the end of the consoles life-span. Microsoft won't have to start ramping up console exclusives until it unveils the next Xbox.
The one studio I thought Microsoft may purchase was Bizarre Creations, they did a lot of Xbox-exclusive work.
Also, the timesplitters game is still rumored. Hasn't been confirmed that it's even in development or what systems it will be on.
Ryse is only Xbox exclusive because they wanted to make a game for Kinect.
Crytek is a 3rd party studio for Microsoft, like Epic games. However, look at this. Cryteks Ryse is a 360 kinect exclusive. also, warface is exclusive for Microsoft Windows. And finally, Timesplitters 4 is exclusive to the Next-Gen xbox. Even more, Microsoft is overseeing all of Cryteks work and moved crytek Budapest to a different location, they even renamed crytek Budapest to Crytek Frankfurt. Do you think Microsoft is getting ready to buy out Crytek, or at least some sort of branch from it?WheresDaBeer
Very little of that is true. Crytek isn't a 3rd part Microsoft studio. Warface is exclusive to Windows because it's a PC game. Microsoft doesn't get anything from that. Microsoft doesn't oversee Crytek's work, Crytek does and Microsoft didn't and can't move a Crytek studio.
No, its not gonna happen. First of all, Crytek is not a 2nd party developer to them. Second, Timesplitters 4 is not even announced, let alone an exclusive. Third, many games not developed in an internal studio are exclusives. Mass Effect is a 360 exclusive, but Mass Effect 2 and 3 will be on PS3. Fourth, Microsoft had nothing to do with any renaming of a Crytek studio that may have happened.
I thought EA already bought CryTek.magicalclick
Not yet. But I could see that happening by they make another Crysis.
