It may just be me, but as an owner of all 3 systems, the new xbox360 update is brining what the other consoles already did.. I got ps3 first on launch, then the wii, then the 360 a few months ago. I love the 360 more than my other systems, but this new interface.. its like clashing the PS3 and the Wii together, which in reality, it doesnt seem like a bad idea, but I like the way 360 is right now. So, you want the new update, or the stick with the old?
the interface without theme's looks like crap. with theme's it looks much better.
and i really think you need to watch the entire showing again..because the update is bringing alot of new things that havent even been done before on a console :|

I know they are adding a lot more, but they could have just implemented the new features with the choice of using the new interface or the old.

actually giving people the choice of switching between layouts would be very pointless consitering alot of the new stuff are conntected to the avatar system.
It looks a lot less "cluttered" and it seems like it's going to be easier to navigate from one thing to another. I also like the idea of having an avatar.
i dont no why ppl dislike the avatars do much, i think there pretty cool..watch when youre able to dress your avatar up in a master cheif suit or any other MS exclusive characters outfit EVERYONE will start to love it...
i think i would like the old one. i don't want the avatar i like the old ones but i kind of wish there were better ones. i feel like microsoft stole everything from the other consoles. thats just imo
the new interface is sort of designed with mac computers simplicity which it seems makes things more navigatable. The avatars are seem ok and generally appealing. I just think people are disapointed that microsoft didn't really come up with anything better and more advanced than wii or sony in this category.
I watched the reveal online and felt outraged... then I watched the reveal on my 360 after having long interface loading times just to change my theme... and it didn't look so bad.
The one thing I don't like about the Avatars is that their heads are disproportionate to their bodies. I'd be fine if they fixed that.
That and we'll probably have to buy the really cool stuff. But if our Avatars played a bigger part in some future games (maybe XBLA?), that would rock.
but they really need to redo the avatars and give them a new look, They look like their stuck somewhere between Mii simplicity and Home realisticness (Is that a word?)
I think they should have a more anime styled look so that they look unique because right now they look like the Miis got a graphics upgrade.
People, I dont HATE the new interface, i just dont like it as much as the this one, thats all. and I feel the avatars are, as someone said, like mixing Homes avatars and the Miis together. If they redo with a little more detail and like someone else said, redo the head to be proportionate to their body, then i wont mind.
it lacks the level of customization of the current dashboard, but all the new features (except avatars, b/c I really couldn't care less about those) are pretty sweet. although, I'm def. gonna make a Jesus avatar for 1v100, and i'm sure i'm 1 of 100000000 people with the same thought.
Im not going to say that the old one looks better, i'll say that Im used to the old one. My thing is...if Im paying 50 bucks a year for online etc. I want everything I can get, with emphasis on everything. New dash it is.
Im not voting mainly because I really dont care if we got the old or the new. and just to comment on the new dashboard, the avatars r interesting but it kind of looks a little too friendly for the xbox community. im still probably going to have some fun making my avatar though since im into customization and stuff like that.:)
