Yeah, youre doing alright. Lol, i have 22300+, but the funny thing is, is i have 40 games. My uncle just buys me games for no reason and I end up getting a load of games. Which is cool. But then again, he also gives me a load of microsoft points. I have like 60 arcade games. Lol. Sorry for going off, but yeah, you have a good amount, but I was wondering why u were worrying about it.masterchef56exactly. It all matters on how many games you have. sometimes gamerskill= gamers money. I have to buy my own games except for birthday and christmas which both have just passed so i have a total of 7 games and i have over 2k gs.
Gamerscore does not mean gamer skill.

From what I've read, it kind of does.... You kind of need achivements to get high gamerscores, correct? Thus, better skill---->more achievments---->higher gamer points.

go look at what the achievements are for games like avatar, that's not skill. most games are non coherent with skill, most award time spent on a game for example 50 ranked matches for an achievement on a game, now i wouldn't call that skill.

again, agreed. gs does not dictate how skillfull a player is, that player themselves have to be that.
is it really neccessary to ask a question like dat.i mean cmon why would u care what anyone else thinks about your gamerscore??
so pointless.
TR3boii
i agree
(but i will admit that i do brag about my from time to time, cause its pretty high 8))

anything under 20,000 is rubbish. Anti-Venom
Not really. It just matters what games you have the points in and amount completed.
Gamerscore means nothing, and that's coming from me with 30,776.
It's all about what achievements you have. People who play easy games like Avatar just to get achievement points show that their gamerscore is meaningless. I play only games that I want to play, and only attempt achievements that I'll have fun getting. I'm proud of my 1000/1000 in Dead Rising and 1000/1000 in Dead Space, and achievements like Epic Tier 3 Engineer (Dead Space), Veteren of D-Day (Call of Duty 2), Zombicidal Maniac (Left 4 Dead), General - Defeated the Strogg (Quake 4), and Frank the Pimp, Saint, and 7 Day Survivor (Dead Rising).

No way, everybody should have at least 20,000 by now. Any less is a poor gamerscore in my opinion[QUOTE="craigalan23"][QUOTE="Anti-Venom"]anything under 20,000 is rubbish. Anti-Venom

No way, everybody should have at least 20,000 by now. Any less is a poor gamerscore in my opinionI've only had mine for a year. Also there's plenty of games i could rent and get an easy 15,000 in a few days. Although i don't care for achievements and that's just lame.
I believe the old adage goes; those with less gamerscore have no skills, those with more have no life
Just enjoy your games! I must admit sometimes gamerscore has made me replay games that I maybe wouldn't have done, but in the end I'm glad I did, I did pay for the games after all!
Thread creator, you are opening yourself to a world of trolling asking that question, where people will tell you you're a horrible person, and there's something wrong with you if you don't enjoy your games the exact same way they do.
Ignore them. If you want to totally ignore Gamescore, do so. If you want to only play games that give you max points, do so. Gaming's a hobby; do what makes you happy with it.
Anyway, I've written at length on this subject before, so to answer your question, I'll post up a link to my Gamerscore Guide for the Novice.
