I love RPGs, I love grinding, farming, crafting and hunting for the best equipments, I love seeing my character grow and become godlike . . . I've never played any elder scrolls game before so from the stuff that I said about RPGs, is Skyrim bursting with stuff like this??? Is it like choose a class like Warrior, Wizard etc. then do story and side quests then once you finish all of those you're free to roam around and grind to your hearts content??? Is Skyrim like this, like an MMORPG??? If no then how is it like???

I'll be picking it up, but on the PC. I loved the modding community for Oblivion on the PC......it added SO much more time to my gameplay.

Well, first off the game is not similar to MMORPG. No multiplayer or online support in Skyrim. It's purely a single player only experience.

Skyrim has changed the cla ss system of previous games to a more flexible one where you can choose to develop into whatever you want as you play the game.

The map in the game is actually an overview of the entire world in stunning 3D glory. Your stats menu is actually a constellation which is very beautiful to look at. The menus are expertly made and you can view each and every item with full 360 degrees freedom. This is especially useful for solving puzzles in dungeons.

Weather plays an important role in the game. Blizzards, heavy rain - the whole 9 yards. Oh, and natural phenomena like the Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis are present.

The game has over a 150 dungeons (this time, made by a proper team) that are unique, the world is divided into 8 "holds" or territories each with their unique topography, flora and fauna. Lot of wild animals, and yes, you can kill to your heart's content. And yes, after you finish the main story line you can roam around and do all the quests you like.

Also, Skyrim is running on a better engine so it'll have fewer bugs than the horribly made Fallout games (excellent but horribly buggy games), has better animation than previous Bethesda games (third person gameplay actually looks good), has killing animations, dual wielding of spells and weapons, has children (not something you see often in RPGs), and has dynamic dragon encounters. What that means is you can have epic boss encounters with dragons at any moment. They can attack you while you're trekking alone in the mountains, or on the plains, heck even in towns and cities. Oh, and you can actually get married to either one of the many companions you have that join your party.

The game also has numerous guilds like the Fighter's Guild and the Thieves Guild and also the excellent Dark Brotherhood (the best quests in Oblivion are from the DB so expect the quests in Skyrim to be even better)! :D

If you haven't played Oblivion, my advice to you is to forget about it. Don't play Oblivion because Skyrim is everything that Oblivion can only dream of being.
Go check some Skyrim videos. They do better justice than me talking about it :)

Oh, and Jeremy Soule is composing the music in this game. And yes, the music kicks ass.

I agree with you 100% the game is a single player RPG, no online to it. Only thing that you could do online is the DLC when it comes out, see when friends are logging in and out, and maybe have party chat. This game is going to have so many things to do in it as far as mainquest, sidequests, doing dugeons, or going to a challenge and kill a few dragons. As far as having your character become godlike I don't think that will really happen like jumping off a cliff without getting damage or attack 20 enemies without losing any health. I think is still going to be a little challenging throughout the game, but nothing to sweat about really.

It's more relatable to an MMORPG. You can do main quests, side quests, or do whatever you want in between. You can play for 100 hours without completing more than a few of the main quest's missions.
