I've got a 720p tv. Is there that much of a difference between component and hdmi video? Also is the 20 gb HD big enough for most people?

Well, demos are a big part of the marketplace, as well as videos, and 20gb is not enough. I suggest the elite for these 3 reasons

1) Less chance of rrod

2) More space

#) Shiny black look FTW:D

The only reason the pro gets more rrod because the elite has like two or three more fans than the pro to keep it cooler.
