I want to get a 360 but i dont have a HDTV, i have a 27 inch flat screen, any help??GamerRoy
Having an HDTV does not make good games. This month alone has an amazing lineup for the 360 Assassins Creed, Mass Effect, Kane and Lynch, and Call of Duty 4. If you want a 360 now is the time to get one. Halo 3 and Orange Box last month. And next year, isn't looking any worse with Left 4 Dead, Splinter Cell 5, Culdcept Saga, Army of Two, etc.
Great older games to get GRAW, GRAW 2, Dead Rising, Oblivion, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, etc. As well as some pretty good Xbox Live Arcade games such has Uno, Castlevania, Streets of Rage 2, Sonic, Sonic 2, Alien Hominid, etc.

What this guy/gal said.If you want to have your choice of alot of great games then you can't go wrong with the 360. And you don't need an hdtv but if you can, you should definitely get one. I have a1080p Sharp Aquos andto say that the graphics are incredible would be an understatement.
P.S. the PS3 sucks so don't even bother. the 360 took most of their exculsives anyway examples: GTA IV, Assassin's Creed, UT3, and Devil May Cry 4

The great thing about 360 is that it doesn't require you to have an HDTV to be able to play it unlike PS3. You will still enjoy 360's games even with a normal tv. HDTV only makes you see the capabilities of 360's graphics which is truly awesome.pittongkidI am sorry but you dont have to own a hdtv to play a ps3 and it look great on a sdtv so wtf are you talking about
I know this a xbox 360 forum but the ps3 has good game coming out like uncharted and haze, metal gear soild 4 so shut up the ps3 and xbox 360 are both good systemPS 3 sucks go for the 360 because the PS 3 is expensive and they dont have many good games out for it

Don't listen to bias.
I just got my 360 on Oct. 30th because I knew it was the one I wanted.
However, the 360 has major problems. The first being that it overheats a LOT. Make sure you get the one with a falcon chip in it. Secondly, if you have a game and the Xbox is tipped over or moved, your cd is scratched and dead. Lastly, the wireless adapter is 100 bucks. Wow.
Why should you get the 360? The most definite answer is Live. Compared to PS3 or Wii, 360 wins here. And this is a key part about why I bought it. Live lets you play around the world and a mic is thrown in as well.
Another reason to get a 360 is for mature singleplayer games. You can see this in games like Condemned, Bioshock and soon to be Mass Effect.
You have to look at gaming in 3 perspectives:
The singleplayer, the offline multiplayer and online multiplayer.
Singleplayer is again about mature storylines, a plus for me. Online multiplayer is good here to to with Xbox Live. 50 bucks a month is not bad at all. The weakest part is definitely the offline multiplayer. The problem here is that you tend to have new people over who have never played the Xbox and they will suck when they vs. you. That's where the Wii is clearly better.
So again, if you want a strong offline multiplayer, and you want your singleplayer games to be about strong stories, then I suggest Xbox. Make sure you take care of it however. Also, get the one with 2 free games.
Again, I'll say it's what you are looking for.
If you spend all your time online, then X360 with Live is the best option.
If you want singleplayer games with mature plots, X360 is the choice.
If you simply play games with your friends offline, I say go with the Wii.
If you like Nintendo's singleplayer games better, again go to Wii.
If you really want RPGs and a free, yet somewhat limiting online mode, you might want to get a PS3.
