I know the story and graphics are good, but are the shooting and powers fun in the game? I'm wondering b/c I don't know if I want this or Assassin's Creed.
ive got both games.. many do and they shouldnt be missed out.. and the combat in mass effect is pretty good. not too realistic the way you really wanted it.
well the shooting and powers are indeed fun.. specially when you are able to use your Teammates powers and yours in a combo.. THats if you figure out how to do it..
Well, I was a sucker enough to buy the collectors edition of both Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect, and in the end I felt both were over-rated. If I had to say which one I thought was better, I'd have to go with Assassin's Creed, because Mass Effect came off as really shoddy to me. I couldn't help but feel that the developers of Mass Effect cut numerous corners and created a rather bland and stale world. Since you mentioned combat - it is enjoyable and fairly unique, although it is not all real-time as it is often regarded to me. If bringing up a skill selection menu pauses the game, than that is not real-time as far as I am concerned. I was expecting a lot more of Mass Effect, but don't feel that it delivers on a variety of ends. Of course, Assassin's Creed is incredibly repetitive. If you can ignore the repetition of Assassin's Creed, I would have to recommend that.
to me a choice between Assassin's Creed get Mass Effect its a great game and i think the shooting is really fun. and when you get higher levels the biotic powers are really cool.

Its very similar to GRAW2, although not quite as good. It does have a cover system and shield system so overall its satisfying. The bionic powers (eg. lift) make it good though. The only downside is the driving...

I hated the gameplay. It really disappointed me so I sold this game a week after I bought it.
