For me all i want a 360 for is a couple of games that don't really need online play like Mass Effect, Bioshock, Gears of war etc. But i don't know if i'm gonna want online in the future and HD cables. So should I buy the arcade or wait a little bit longer to get the premium. Also how long is the 360's life span gonna be because i have to take that into consideration too i mean if Microsoft is gonna be making a new console in 2 years maybe I should wait

I think it depends on how you treat your 360 i guess. If you play straight for like 3 hours without a cooling system your console will die faster.

If your not gonan download any thing from DLC, maybe you could get the arcade and if you just want to play games and nothing else than get an arcade.

I would personally never get the arcade, but I suppose you could give it a shot and buy the extras later on if you decide you need them.

hmmm good question, if you dont need live then the arcade is good. its always upgradable in the future (hdd, cables, sticks, etc.). but to hit on the waiting thing if you could wait 2-3 years then i would do it or get something else if thats your thing. the 3rd box is coming sooner than we think. oh i see you gotta wii the wii is fine but for me could never be my only console.

I think get the Premium, because otherwise you'll be out of memory in no time.

I have a launch console that has seen NUMEROUS marathon sessions (5 or more straight hours) and have not had a single significant issue.

Personally, I'd recommend waiting until closer to the GTA IV release. I have a gut feeling that there will be another price cut that will coincide with that. Then you'd be able to afford a Pro with no problem.
