Well I know it comes only with 256 MB of space, but is it enough for at least saving 10 different games. And also do some games have to install on the HDD before playing (like for some PS3 games). And also I wanna know which would be a better buy Arcade or the Pro.

And finally, is the 3 years warranty by microsoft (if RROD happens) still avaible?

A lot of people give the Arcade a bad rap because it has no HD with it, but honestly, if you just want to play games, it's perfect. The memory card is fine, you can still d/l demo's AND you can play on-line if you wish.

Now, you won't be able to d/l most maps, (entire) games (old x-box games) and some demo's are BIG, Bioshock comes to mind.

If you ever owned a PS2, consider how many games you were able to save on just the memory card, you have your answer. ;)

For the extra bucks, its really worth going Pro. Even if you never download anything, some games are optimised for hard drive and run a bit smoother.

I would suggest just to get the Pro, the arcade is not worth the money.

I think the upgrade from arcade to pro is about $50 and honestly it's worth it. You can probably get away with ten game saves on the memory card, but if there's DLC you were thinking about to expand the game it's just not possible. You'll probably end up buying multiple memory cards later on so the HDD is just an obvious choice for the same amount of cash.

I disagree with the people saying "go pro". You are better off getting the arcade with some free (really good) arcade games & the memory card and adding a harddrive later.

The Arcade is one of the worst purcahses you can make in all of electronics.

It's not worth it and is completely useless for you. The reason I know is that you're on this site asking about it.

The pure fact that you know that much about the console to ask about it makes the Pro or better then way to go.

To cut a long rant short it's going to cost you more just to make the Arcade acceptable, that's not even adding in the pain of transferring everything over to the hard drive once you get one. Save money now and get everything in one fell swoop.

The Arcade is like a car with no engine

Great if you only have to go down hills, sucks for everything else.

It doesn't make sense that way, the arcade games that you get are mostly 400 point games that would cost you no more than $20 off the marketplace. Also they're not all that great, I got the disc with my pro and ended up playing 2 of 5. A harddrive can cost anywhere from the price of a game to $120.
