If you already have an Xbox then I'll just get the 120GB one though, but its more Reliable these days so go get one. If you don't have an Xbox 360 then heck yeah, get the Elite, you could have HDMI cable for your HDTV and it has a 120GB hard drive to keep you busy buying DLC on this console, and the fact that you could Install games to your hard drive if you want a Quiet game to play (Which is awesome, but my drive is not loud so yeah, but I do it). Oh, and BTW, get Xbox live. Its not just for Online gaming (Which is kinda boring these days), its for DLC, game Add ons, and Expansions or stuff, but theres lots of online games to keep you busy, im just bored with them now. Go get it right now if your doing this. Have a nice day.

You don't need LIVE to do all that stuff - it IS pretty much just for online gaming.
It's black, so I guess it's better eye candy. But unless you plan to download tons of movies from Xbox Live onto your hard drive (which is something else I'm quite against), it's kind of a waste of cash.
