Half Life is good. I dont think its the best, just good.

Portal was fun but terribly short and I hear theyre doing a sequel... I have no idea how that game could have a sequel but whatever.

TF2 sucked.

From a value perspective, yes. It is that good. If you like the Half Life series (and haven't played HL2) I'd pick it up. Especially if you can find it on sale or used.

Wow, what's with hating on the Orange Box? Half-Life 2 (and its episodes) is a wonderful, cinematic experience. Portal is mind-bendingly brilliant. Team Fortress 2 did the impossible; I actually enjoyed a Multi-player FPS experience!

My guess is that it is not a direct Portal sequel or even called Portal 2. It will probably be a spiritual successor that is a true FPS with the Portal mechanic as a key feature.

Half Life is a very challenging game but it's got one of the better storylines out there. Portal was pretty sweet but it was short. Team Fortress 2 sucked. It's only 40 bucks at Best Buy so I'd say pick it up.

Orange Box is practically a steal for 60$

Half-life- A great first person shooter series, and if you haven't played half-life 2 yet, you should try it out.

Portal- The game does nothing but innovate the FPS genre.

Team Fortress 2- The games options are shallow and it's impossible to get into a game where teammates will actually work as a team, but if you do get into that certain game, it's a blast. The game made me stop playing Halo 3. That's an incredible feat.

Buy this package.

Heck yeah!

This bundle shoould really be around $100. The Half Life series is an excellent FPS.. probably the best FPS w/ story. Portal was also interesting.. but it gets super confusing later. Haven't played TF2 though.

It's definitely a really good value, my problem was the game levels were way too long and it's really repetitive, portal is great though.

Team Fortress 2 Alone is worth the $60.. It's the BEST online multiplayer game imo.. But yeah, its got TF2, Portal, Half Life Searies which are all awsome games worth $60 each imo.

If you are interested in Half Life, yes.

Team Fortress 2 on the 360 is dissapointing from what I've heard but its one of the best on PC.

IMO, Half life is underwhelming. Compared to the slew of better titles out there (FPS's anyway) and considering all the hype, it seems bland and samey, the combat is fairly shallow, the puzzles are admittedly good ways of pacing the game, the characters stood out as fantastic for me, even though the gaping plot holes give many 'WTF???' moments.

Portal is outright fantastic.

TF2 is a mixed bag, find a populated server and a good team, and you can go on for many a year. However, if you don't have lots of friends on TOB, then repetition is the name of the game. TF2 is phenomenal in the right circumstances, trouble is finding these circumstances.

Mostly, people need to stop telling valve you want more Half life, they need to have game that's not basically 'Half life 2: Alyx and the gravity gun'

if you're into a more story driven fps half life is for you. i really liked portal, not so much team fortress. get the orange box if you're into single player fps because the multiplayer isnt that good.

Yes its fantastic, The single Player experience of HL2 and the episode is far to superior to most on the 360, E.g. Halo. However TF2 was a boring Mp but apart....Portal was awesome aswell. Get it! :D

It is. All the HL2 games are there own stlye of shooter. Portal is one of 2007's best, and TF2 is different, but it pulled me away from Halo for a whole month

The Orange Box as a deal, is the best in gaming history (imo). But the games themselves, are one of the best of all-time. Half-Life 2 just blew me away. The Source Engine really shines and they put so much detail into this game. The physics are absolutey amazing, one of the best, if not the best. That one scene where they introduce the robot character, "Dog." I was blown away. I was like "Wow" and it was one of those Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time kind of feeling. For a game that has been out for a few years now, it's easily still one of the best-looking games to date. That goes to show that Valve really meant business. Character facial expressions, voice acting, character models and faces, are THE best I've ever seen. Better than any other game. The storyline is my favorite. I haven't had this much fun since Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. If you dont own this title yet, you better go out and get it now. Portal is awesome, and TF2 is loads of fun if you can get it out of your mind that this isnt Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4. It's truly unique. It really has outdone it's predecessor. In conclusion, from a value deal and gaming perspective, this game is easily one of the best, if not the best games of all-time. It's my #1 favorite game. Followed closely by Legend of Zelda: Oot.

I think theres a reason its 60$.... if u catch my drift

I thought it was brutally boring, the Halflife games werent nothing special. TF2 was just bad, not really fun at all. And Portal was fun at the loewest point.

Strongly consider renteing b4 bying, i almsot bought it till i rented it and was like wow, aint owrth it.

I wouldn't exactly call Halo 3 "incredible", but to each his own.

As for the Orange Box, all I can say is that I am really greatful that I only rented this game. Half-Life is alright, Portal's much too short, and TF: 2 didn't deliver.

The best part of the "Box", unfortunately, was Portal.

This is all IMO of course.

It's worth the money. 5 games for the price of one.

The Half-Life 2 games are quality FPS games, some of the best ever made.

Portal is fun, but rather short. Also, if you aren't good at logic puzzles, unless you go to websites, meatheads lose...

Team Fortress 2... it has its fun moments, but nothing special. Needs more than 6 maps in the same desolate desert towns, and needs good ol' deathmatch.

Half-Life games are fun but they do get boring after playing through one and then going to another. Portal was fun but short. TF2 rocked but like all MP games that you play a lot it gets old.

if you haven't already played Half Life 2, then yes of course. i played Half Life 2 a while before playing Orange Box so it didn't exactly deliver as much as I'd hoped.

Portal was easily the best part of the package if you're only taking the new things into account. TF2's just not that great as far as online shooters go for today. i heard that the 360 version has more lag, but you're not missing much if you're missing out on TF2.

Umm, the whole half life 2 deal is very nice. However, I did beat half life 2 and both episodes, and they were good, not great.

Team Fortress 2 is actually a prett fun game. I wasn't expecting it to be that gtreat.

And Portal is just such a fantastic game, it was SO AWESOME!!

so yes, I would get the orange box. Half life though is very repetitive, I gotta warn u. If you like sci fi story thats confusing but really good, then get it. Team Fortress is pretty fun, and I was surprised , but there is always a great amount of players online, and Portal, well, I know people that just got it for that game, and I don't blame them.

I first played Half-Life 2 in 2005. I admit, when I first played it I couldn't see why everyone was saying it was so great. It wasn't until I played it through for a second, then third time that I started to realise how great it was. That is the reason I try to play games more than once. It pisses me off when I read that someone has formed their opinion of a game after only playing it for an hour or only getting through half the game.

Episode One isn't that great but HL2 and Episode 2 are miles better than most of the FPS's that get released today. Yes, that includes COD4.

The graphics aren't that great by todays standards and I think that puts some people off buying The Orange Box. It's really sad because if Half-Life 2 looked like Gears of War it probably would've sold a lot more.

Just buy the Orange Box. The whole package is awesome and it'll leave you craving Episode 3. Will Episode 3 have the Portal gun involved in some way? I sure hope so.

It only took me about an hour or so to figure out that this game was truly amazing. When I got up to the part where the robot character "Dog" was introduced, I was just blown away. I still think the graphics are great. Better than most Xbox 360 games, despite it being a 2005 game. I was surprised by all the detail and physics involved in this game. A truly unique experience. A must-own title.

I had never played a Half Life game before OB, but thought that HL2 was extremely well polished, and gave me two of the best moments I've ever had playing a video game. It had a real sense of the character going where they weren't supposed to instead of just getting from A to B, as is so often the case.

Portal is genious. I loved it, and played through it several times. The dark comedy was exquisite. My brother couldn't even get his head around the concept, and gave up after only a couple of stages, so it must really come down to the person.

TF2 is decent, but not mind-blowing.

Basically, you will never see a deal this good again, and should definately give it a try.

Portal was fun but terribly short and I hear theyre doing a sequel... I have no idea how that game could have a sequel but whatever.

TF2 sucked.

Matt2556

yep its a good game, still has great graphics for such a old game.

for portal 2 maybe have a guy do the puzzles, maybe the girl get caught. portal is a awsome game. team fortress 2 is ok. a good game but it sometimes lags.

I'd say go for it, TF2 is kinda crappy, but one of the best multiplayer games of the last few months below Halo 3, and Portal alone would be worth it.

Anyway, yeah, if ya got some cash ,and you're a Half Life fan and haven't played HL2 yet, you might want to.Though it'd be a chance you just couldn't pass up if you found it on sale.

So you figured out it was truly amazing by the time you got the crowbar? That's about an hour in and nothing much has happened by then.

I also love the Half-Life games and think they're must own titles but you must be blind if you think they look better than most Xbox 360 games. Half-Life 2 and Episode One look very dated. They have poor textures by todays standards. Nowadays it's all about shaders and obviously with Half- Life 2 being an old game it was made using polygons. Episode 2 looks a bit better but still nowhere near as good as COD4, Halo 3, Bioshock, Gears etc. Portal isn't great looking either but it's still one of the best games of last year.

They're still awesome games even though they look like something from 2005. Games don't need amazing graphics to be great. God of War 2 is further proof of that.
