hey guys. i was just wondering if the orange box, is still worth the purchase? i was just at bb today and saw that it was 24.99 and was thinking of picking it up. i am going back tomorrow so i just wanted to know if it is still worth the purchase. do ppl still play online? and is it worth the hype it got a while back? thnks
If youve never played through HL2 then it is definitly worth the buy. Ive never been a fan of team fortress but alot of other people seem to like it and im sure some people still play online. Portal is also highly addicting if you havent played that either. Orange Box is a great bundle of games. So I say yes.
Yes without a doubt. I got it for Christmas bc i thought i was missing out and was i ever.
TF2 .... alive and well, best team based game, not the greatest matchmaking though.

Bottomline ur paying ~$5 or less per game. All games are exceptional. HL2 and episodes rank up there with greatest games of all time.WHAT A GREAT DEAL!!!!
Absolutely. The graphics for HL2 are going to look a bit dated of course, so dont expect to be dazzled by the look of it, but the gameplay, immersion and story of this game is awesome. Actually, the graphics were ahead of their time when it was released so it doesnt look that bad at all.
Portal is a great game as well, eveyone should have played that game. Probably one of the very few original game ideas in a while.
Plus! youve got Team Fortress. I haven't played it online, but from I hear it's a pretty good online game and there are still plenty of poeple playing it.

Well, the orange box was hailed as the best deal in gaming history when it was released for 59.99 on the 360. Nothing has changed about the games since then. It is still a great collection of games. The only thing that has changed is the perception of its value since it is not just released with major buzz flying around about it. If it was a great deal then and the only thing that has changed is the time of year and price (which is lower) then it is an even better deal now.
