But why not like? They've released most of the Sims series on Playstation 2 and got very high sales from that so why not keep the same idea?Ev0lutii0nNone of the ones that came out for xbox/ps2 were the same as the PC releases, they were chopped, cut, and altered versions of the games...and then off shoots, like The Urbz, and Castaway Stories...
I heard it will be ported, but most likely it will be chopped and screwed, so its best to just get a decent PC and play on that.
it would make sense to release it on the xbox, sims 2 for the ps2 was better then on the computer it actually had a story line and you could get to better houses and stuff right??? plus people would rather play the game on the xbox then the computer like who wants to sit around on there computer and play when they can have there xbox. I think it would be a crappy idea for them not to release it on xbox, loss of money for surerastagal420Just because it has a storyline doesn't make it better than the PC version. There shouldn't even be a storyline because you can practically make your own. And the other point you made about sitting in front of the computer is really stupid
Nope. The game is built for the PC and it just doesn't work on consoles. They've tried it before and none of them have turned out that great.

Loss of money? Are you serious? The Sims is one of the highest selling franchises of all time. The original has sold 16 million copies since it's release. I think they're fine just putting it out on the PC.

Uninformed, incompetent fanboyism at it's worst!!! The Sims is one of the best series on the PC. Each version sells millions, adds a lot more to the game, and you make your own story. The Sims games for console are worthless, poor pieces of crap. And a whole lot of people like to play on the PC. It can be more comfortable, better controls, better graphics, and the games have depth. Of course, I don't expect you to understand good depth and customization if you think that the console version is better than the PC version.

i had been talking to people about this when it was launched on the p.c.. they told me it probably would never happen and not necessarily because of the specifications of the x-box 360 or ps3.
i don't agree with those that say that console versions of the sims were terrible. they were games. you could play them. sure, they weren't as good as the p.c. releases, i will go that far. but sims on consoles have their place! and no, not in the rubbish bin.
Maxis did actually plan to release a Sims 3 game for the 360, but for whatever reason the project was discontinued.
iVerb
really? who told you this? i remember simmars was another project maxis was keen to get started but the u.s. government got involved and they were forced to cancel that too! seriously!
I would hope that they will do I liked sims2 on the Xbox it was cool the way they made it so you could use the sticks to move your character around like in other console games.
that feature would be even better now the sims have a whole town to walk around.
And with new gen consoles being so powerful they should be able to make a resonable version of it.
I can't see why putting the sims 3 onto the 360 would be that hard especially when you consider the amount of rpgs and games like Saints row e and gtawhich have menus as compicated as anything the sims has .
I don't want to have to buy a new pc just to get the sims 3 not only is it expensive but its also complicated to work out which is the best pc to get and not make some mistake like buying a pc that rthe sims and other games will not even work on lol.
I think that there will be no version of this game for the 360 at all though
