Since you already have a 360 with a hard drive, this deal is best for you if you're thinking about getting another one. As for the quality of the product, if these Arcades are manufactured recently, then the higher the chances it's less prone to problems compared to older models. Besides Walmart has a great return policy, just as long you keep that receipt, and you get a brand new MS 3 year warranty again.
I do not have a 360 right now. I had the in store warranty from Best Buy, so I kept taking it back to the store every time in broke. That only lasted two years though. I was wondering if they had a new sku or something.Since you already have a 360 with a hard drive, this deal is best for you if you're thinking about getting another one. I think the Pro is still being sold in some gaming stores. I have had one for a year with no issues. 60GB HD.
My 360 Arcade got the Red Ring like a Year after I got it . They sent me a new one, now this one got a red ring. I turned off the console and it's been playing fine since? (3 Weeks now). Anyone have an explanation for this? IS it a time bomb or something?
[QUOTE="carios23"]I am thinking they might be just getting rid of some very old stock. Is there any way to check? gago-gagoI believe if you look at the box it will show you the manufacturing date. If it's manufactured in 2009, you're good.
Actually, if you look through the cut-out on the back of the box you can see the exact manufacture date that is on the console's Serial# sticker. I bought a new Pro the other day and checked this before buying. It was made in May 2009 so I think I am good on the RROD safety front.. hopefully.
I might get 2 Arcades with this deal so I can 3 screen Forza. I've got a spare 20gig and a spare 60gig sitting around ready for use. Tempting deal this one is.

Pretty much all the Arcades manufactured in 2009 are the Jasper chips. Way cooler and quieter than previous chipsets. If you can get a look at the power sticker through the little bar-code hole cut into the box you can look at the power specs. You might have to shift the console around inside the box a little to see the numbers.
Jasper - 12.1 amps – 150 watts - best
Falcon - 14.2 amps – 175 watts - better
Xenon / Zephyr – 16.5 amp – 203 watts - stay away from
Hope this helps.
