Same here. I like LEGOs and I like SW, but usually when it comes to games I like more mature ones. Also Viva Pinata.
Sad to say I thought I wouldn't like Chrono Trigger until I devoted some of my time to it.. and now.. man that game is all it's cracked up to be and more. TBRPG at it's best.
well, before i got an xbox 360, i didn't believe Kingdom Hearts wouldn't be so good. But that game ruled! :D On the Xbox 360 i didn't think Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas wouldn't be THAT good.
Mass Effect, because i'm not really into RPG's. i've only got to play it for like an hour, but it's a lot of fun so far. TMNT, my friends little brother left it at my house so i figured i'd try it since i had nothing else to do, i loved it and ended up beating it in about 2 days.

I thought the exact same, but it turned out to be one of my favourite games and the original saga was even better!!Can't wait for the Indiana Jones version to come out, it's gonna be great!!
Also, i thought that Crackdown was going to be a cheap rip-off of GTA but with super powers, i was wrong.
