I've played orange box and got the 2 point achievement, that got me wondering if there is a one pointer out there. Anyone know?

Someone should make a game with 1000 achievements, worth 1 point each... that would drive achievement junkies crazypaulokoenigkam
that would be worse than the orange box achievements...

MS put a limit to how many achievements a 3rd party game could have. I'm pretty sure it's 50 achievements @ 1250 points. Where a title may ship with less than 1000 achievements, but must give 1000 points worth of achievements through free updates, and an optional extra 250 points which may or may not be at cost to the consumer.TKandPBC
what about condemned: criminal origins? That game only has 970 achievement points and hasnt had an update since forever

There isn't actually a set limit on the number of achievements a game can have, but 50 is the recommended maximum. Quite a few games have had more than 50 when they launched, and increased that number later with DLC. Games are meant to have 1000GS, though some early/launch titles didn't. The Orange Box is a special case, where they did get agreement from MS to allow them so many achievements, basically because there were 5 games in it. The reason they couldn't give more than 1000GS is because the limit is per saleable product, rather than per game. If HL2 could be bought separately from say EP2, then each could have 1000GS. Because they are all only available together on one disc, you only get one allowance of GS. There is meant to be a limit that DLC can add a maximum of 250GS, but then Halo 3 went and upped it 1750 total. Fallout 3 is rumoured to be the next title to break 1250 when the third DLC comes out. It's a 10 pointer, I believe.[QUOTE="spazzx625"][QUOTE="Eddie5vs1"]Doesn't the Simpson's game have a 1 point achievement for pressing "start"?San-Frodenzo

It's a jokey achievement in a jokey game. I think it fits. The title was kinda funny too, like 'laziest achievement ever'. (I'm too lazy to look up the exact wording :P)Someone should make a game with 1000 achievements, worth 1 point each... that would drive achievement junkies crazypaulokoenigkam
I believe you can only have a max of 50 achievements in a game.

I have a few on my name from random games, I also have a few 0 pointers. Achievements aren't really a big deal for me, the only game I cared about them in was Oblivion where I have 1250/1250. And a few that I just wanted for the sake of getting, like beating Mass Effect on Insanity (too easy IMO)
I think having a game with 1,000 1 point achievements would be hilarious though, regardless of the fact that it would never happen...
