Sorry if this question have been asked on here so many times and I know some of you hate it when the same old questions keeps coming up on these forums but I haven't been on GS for a long time.

I know the hard drives of the newer 360s is different than the older ones and you can't hook the old one to the new console directly but is there some wires, kit, ect, that allows this? If so can someone tell me what it is called and is kind enough to link me to it so I can order one?

Thanks in advanced.

perhaps you could use it through the transfer cable that came with the hard drive?

You can take the old HDD out of it's case and it plugs directly into the new Slim console. There are Youtube videos on how to do it. Here's one LINK

Take note that you obviously void the warranty on the HDD if you take it out of it's case, but if it's over year old it's out of warranty anyway.

Also the HDD does sort of just hang there inside of the HDD slot of the Slim, but you can buy replacement cases on the net for like $10. LINK

I'm only providing this as info and not encouraging you to do it. If you choose to modify your hard drive you do so at your own risk. I will say that I know 2 people that have done it and it works fine.
