You should be able to run an ethernet cable from your 360 to your laptop, and use the laptop to connect wirelessly to your router. Look on xbox.xom for ICS (Internet Connection Sharing). There are different things to do depending on if you are using XP or Vista

You could do this or bridge the connections which is a bit easier, just go on manage network connections and highlight the two connections and right click and select bridge connections.

I run my 360 off my laptop too.

Its just as easy as using the network wizard and setting you laptop up as a lan. Make sure your LAN is enabled on the connection tab and run a cable from the 360 to the laptop.

Go into the control panel. Goto Network settings. Use the wireless setup wizard. Set it to use your PC as a lan.

Then make sure LAN is enabled on your connect menu.

You're good to go. You wont have to worry about ports or anything else.

sounds about right. or move your 360 to were your modem is located and plug directly into it.

I have had to test my connection every time I play. And you can always have internet on your laptop. When its plugged in.

you do have to worry about ports being forwarded if ur NAT is strict or moderate or anything else other than OPEN just because the sharings setup right dont mean the routers setup right in the first place.

I dont think so... your 360 cant connect without your laptop, but your laptop should still connect without the 360
