Is there a way to prevent your 360 from automatically signing in to Xbox Live?

I can't find an option to prevent it from automatically signing into Xbox Live. Is there any way I can log into my profile and not be on Xbox Live without unplugging the internet?

The only option I can find is whether or not to automatically sign into my gamertag or not. When I'm not plugged into the internet, it lets me still sign on my gamertag while not being on Xbox Live, but when I am plugged into the internet, I can't sign into my gamertag without it also automatically signing into Xbox Live.

Sign into Xbox Live

Press 'Guide' button

Move to settings then select profile --.and at the bottom is 'Sign-in Preferences'

and there is the option to auto sign in or not.

His boss is a friend on XBOX Live and he doesn't want to get discovered playing during work hours :)

Damn,I cant remember what she did,but my big sister set up a 4-button code password for signing into her profile.So now she is not signed into X-box Live until she enters the code.Anyone know about this?

There is no way that I know of to not be in your profile but not on Xbox Live. But you can change your preferences to show that you are offline even though you are online. You can do this on your console or on the xboxlive website.
