im sure someone here could help, whats the problem?INF1DEL
Alright, well basically I go to sign on and it tells me I'm not connected. I then go to test the connection and it fails at the "Wireless Network" stage of the test. The reason I say the problem is unique is because it clearly says I'm connected to my router on my list of available networks. I'm also on my computer using the very same router that I'm connecting too with my Xbox and no dice.
It was working for months straight with no problem, but this whole thing started when I took my system to a friends house and connected to his network. It worked fine over there but when I returned home I can't get it to connect.
ive had that problem before too. after trying for hours to figure out whats wrong, i finally fixed it by just resetting both my router and my modem. have you tried that yet?INF1DEL
I had unplugged them both once while on the phone with a worker at Microsoft, yes. But I havent tried it again since. I can give it a try.
I think i had the same problem. I compleatly unplugged everything and i mean everything for about 5 mins. Then i plugged everything back in tested it and it worked fine.
Hope you get it working soon i know how frustrating it can get but i now know what to do on mine nowwhen it does that.
yeah, that happened to me wired, so i just reset the modem for a minute, 30 seconds will be good and it workedwwe_ownage
Epicly late, but I'm resurrecting this topic since I've not yet found a solution. I've plugged and unplugged everything several times and I'm still having trouble.
I don't want to seem bratty or trollish, but I'm really mad at Microsoft throughout all of this. I mean I spent 400 bucks for the system, I've bought 8 games, I bought their ridiculously over priced 100$ wireless adapter. And after all the money and trust I've poured into their product, they screw me over with sh*tty customer service. I feel so helpless, like all this money has gone to waste.

Also this isn't a problem with Microsoft its a problem with your router. You should've called your router's customer service, instead of MS.Maidendude

(Off Topic)In fairness to Microsoft it is not their responsibility to handle such in depth networking problems. It is the problem of the customer how their network is set up.
Have you checked all of your setting on the 360? Did you change any settings on your router or on your 360 will at your friends house or since then? You need to remember what you did and how you set everything up as that is how you introduced the problem.
Go to your router settings and mess around with security settings. Also setup port forwarding for your xbox 360, and make it your dmz host as well. I can't really go in-depth with this because I do not know your ISP(Internet Server Provider) or what kind of router you have. Your best bet is to figure all of that out and either go on a scavanger hunt on google or just call your ISP and let them help you. You shouldn't be calling Microsoft because it isn't their fault.
