It's fine and a router doesn't help make your connection any faster. A router allows you to have mulitple internet connections at once. So someone can surf the web on a computer while you play on Xbox Live. Of course, they will be using up part of your bandwith (the 1.5M/256K).1.5 Mbps/256 Kbps. Oh yeah, will a router help my live connection any ?

If you don't have to share the connection and the ethernet cable currently reaches your Xbox, then you don't need a router.1.5 Mbps/256 Kbps. Oh yeah, will a router help my live connection any ?
