Is this a halo 3 glitch or something?

when i die in campaign it shows the ragdoll and everything but then it all freezes for like 1 sec and then im back in the game? is the freezing happening to you?birdcrap

I dont think its a good enough reason to return the game. Really does it happen that often, and is it really that bad? I dont think it is.
