Can the Xbox 360 rip games off their disk onto the hard drive? I heard this somewhere, but I wasn't sure. Is it against the rules to also ask if the PS3 also has that feature? This revelation has slightly shocked me lol.

Do you think this may stop gaming places from doing rentals? People can rent the game for a night, copy it,and bring it back. Essentially they've just bought the game for about a fiver.MurjYou still need the game to play it.
I didn't really join these forums to get hounded by ignorant people like you, nor do I have the time to read your posts which so far have nothing to do with the topic. So I am asking you, post something useful please?
In response to JAC-ATTACK: So is there any real good use for this feature? If it doesn't have too much of an effect on load times then is there a point? Although I suppose it might make online play a bit smoother?
t stops the disk drive from spinning so it won't overheat and has lesser chance of getting RROD i think. And it is A LOT quieter

Which is good for the disc drive which is a frequent problem.
Some games do benefit from the install and a lot of game don't. But the biggest reason to install them is that the disc does not spin while in the drive cutting down on noise and also how much heat the console generates..
