Last night my 360 played fine. After a few hours I went back to it, pressed the button on my controller to turn it on and the 360 did nothing, but the ring on the controller flashed all four segments all the way around and the only way I could get them to turn off was to remove the batteries.

When I pressed the power button on the system the unit fired right up and worked fine, and after that I changed my batteries in the controller and everything worked fine as usual.

So does 4 flashing lights on the controller mean the batteries are dead, or did I temporarily lose connectivity for some reason, just curious, this is my first 360, and its less than 30 days old and was manufactured in May, so I'd like to think it's reasonably reliable.

Thanks.

When the four lights on the controller rotate clockwise it simply means the batteries are low like you said. So no worries your good to go:)

Or, it could possibly mean your controller was out of sync with your system.

It possibly fell out of sync with your console. My wireless controllers do that occassionally - I push the button and expect the console to switch on as well, but nothing happens. When I push the power button on the console it waits til it gets to the dashboard, then detects the controller and everything works fine for several weeks/months.

It's random when it stops syncing, but easy enough to get it working again. I think I'm meant to press the white buttons to do it properly, but my method seems to work easily enough :)

Nope, it simply means it was out of sync or the batteries are almost dead.

It's nothing to worry about, mine does it every now and then, it just means the control and console weren't in Sync

nothing to worry about :)

its either just a battery problem or the control lost the signal to ur 360. idk if u know this but when ur playing a game u press the guide botton (the big X and botton to turn on console) u can see how much battery life u have on it. its a little thing in the upper corner it loooks like [llll] looks something like that the four bar mena how much life.
