Is this possible??....

Buy a new 360 and take it back to the store with the old one (RRoD) inside. It sounds to easy to be true and wondered if they check the barcodes on the box and console match? I know many people have used this system with games, but this is different. Any ideas guys?

Your talking about return fraud. You know that's illegal right?

Anyways, most major retailers in the US and Canada, like Best Buy scan the serial # when you buy the 360. So you can only return that console within the return period.

However some small shops do not do this. So you can do it. :P

It depends, I usually check the bar codes on the system, but some of my partners don't, basically because they don't know how to do it.
