I thought it was a customized dx9? which had similarities to dx10...oh wait...yea...you said that...nevermind.

Uh, I'm pretty sure that direct x 10 is not included in the 360 nor the direct x 9. However there is a customized version of it on the 360

360 only supports DirectX 9.0c. The 360's graphic card is unable to support DirectX 10. It should however be noted that one of the DX10 extensions is found in the 360's DX API - i forgot which one it is.

It should be noted though that the 360's graphics card uses the unified arcitecture that directx 10 gpu's use.

Do your research bro. Not only does the 360 run DX but the damned thing is named after Direct X. Where do you think the "X" in Xbox came from. Straight from the console devs mouths.

 

As for dx9 or dx10. Crysis will use DX10 on the PC but I doubt the 360 supports DX10. DX10 requires new hardware for PC so unless microsoft planned far, far ahead I doubt they spent the money to put in the hardware to support DX10.

The Xbox 360's GPU supports a modified version of DirectX 9.  The GPU in the  current 360 can not support DirectX10.
