Myne is.. according to my friend this happened this weekend to him but it only lasted a couple minutes... THIS SUCKS I WANT TO PLAY HALO / GH3 and my xbox freezes even when not connected to live.. somethings effed up.
yeah i was gonna play gh3:D but it only signed me in and not to xbox live:cry: then i went to xbox.com to see who was on xbox live but its down too or somethin funny came up :x
One time after trying to sign in it said I had a message and then when I went to see what it is/who it's from my console froze so maybe we'll all have a message explaining this later
same issue here, just jumped on this forum to see if anyone else was having problems. Also seems like ANYTHING attached to xboxlive is down including xbox.com and majornelson's site. WTF? understand dust n' stuff...but how about a heads up?

i just turned my system on and it just said "Railer 505 Signed in" and i didn't change any settings or take my ethernet cable out i didn't need to try and sign into xbox live

I've been wondering this as well,I played about two hours of CoD4 on saturday, and was going on to play my next match when it wouldn't let me join any other matches, though I could still see my friends were online. I went to the dashboard and marketplace was down, so I was like, whatever, that must be effecting online play or something. So now today I turn my xbox on for the first time since then and it doesn't automatically sign me in to live, I'm just offline. I try to play a game of CoD4 online, but it makes me go sign in. It tries to connect for like a minute then says "cannot connect to messenger". Then it shows I'm connected though cause when I go to try and sign in again I can see a few friends are online (though not very many). So I'm like whatever, and go to play CoD4 online again and I'm signed out of XBL again for some reason, I try again, and it freezes my xbox. I tried this whole process again, and the exact same events happened with my xbox freezing... It's kinda pissing me off cause I have no homework today and was looking forward to some quality time with my xboxonlinecause I don't play much, but BAM! Can't play...

I went to play single player in gears, but it won't let me load up Insane mode even though I've played through it numerous times. It shows my profile is logged in and I have my ethernet cord disconnected

i was able to play morrowind which is original xbox (if u didnt know) and it worked fine
ya i think it is down nothing works, the website, xbox live, or the xbox hot line, this is pissin me off, im not paying to play live just for my 360 to be freezing and live not working... WTF???????
I was able to get on for about 1 minute, and I had a message for XBOX Live "downtime" due to maintenance... but the thing is, it said it would be down for 1 hour at 9:00pm PST on 11/13/07... (that's tomorrow)
Lol, if it is somehow the Fall Update, that would be a unexpected surprise. Isn't the new fall update supposed to add DivX 10 to games or something along those lines? Something to do with Divx.
Yeah it wont work for me either. I can sign into my gamertag, but when i try to connect to LIVE it just signs me out and takes me back to the dashboard. I also thought i had succeeded on one attempt because i pulled up the guide and it said i had a message. But when i tried to read it my Xbox froze. I'm just happy to hear that its not just me because i was getting pissed!
