Is Your Xbox360 Horizontal Or Vertical? iv been wondering, and plus iv herd rumors about how your 360 lasts long horizontal but it scratches discs less when its vertical... i have had mine pretty much laying down all the time but im wondering if any one has changed there's because of these rumors

I have mine suspended in the air with a bungee cord. Nothing like 360 degree ventilation.

It's been vertical since the day I unpacked it out of the box. Never had an issue with games being scratched. People that spread those rumors are probably morons that bumped in to their console while a game was spinning. So naturally it gets scratched. But common sense should tell you that. Your 360 will not develop a vendetta against your games one day and just start scratching the hell out of them. -K

The people at microsoft say its better for the xbox to keep it laying down flat. That way it will not move around as much. More surface area.

I had it all set up in the Vertical position for the first Week when I got it, and it looked sweet to, but then all the romors got to me and I put it in the Horizontal position, it's that way to this day.

I keep it well cleaned and try not to move it, im so careful with it because the first one I got was a dud, and had to get a replacement the day I bought it.

i had mine in horizontal for about 8 months now ive put it in vertical, because when horizonal the other side of my 360 would get no air and really hot, it doesnt get so hot anymore now because ive had it vertical for the last month or two, it doesnt really matter how you stand your 360, there is no problem with either, only the way that works best in your setup to protect it and keep it cool

I've seen someone's 360 tipped over when it was vertical. Remember if you have a wired controller do not put your 360 Vertical.
