i've got a question

and i hope the way i phrase it doesn't confuse anyone and i'm sorry if it does.

i pre-ordered a One X at best buys on Friday. i did it at the store and asked the guy if i could just pick up there rather than ship it to my house. he said fine. i didn't give him my credit card cause i wanted to use cash when i buy it. my question is since i didn't order it online do i really have to use a credit card to pay for when i pick it up? i may have a credit card for best buys but i RARELY use it. in fact the last time i did use it was back in december. so it's only like once or twice a year if that.

the only card i gave him was a gift card that i had to help put a down payment on it and i said i had a 10% discount i think there as well since this month i turned 39. i've never pre-ordered anything at the store before and normally have someone else do it for me. but i'd rather just pay cash as it's just far far much easier for me. and my best buys reward zone card for the points. that's it. so can i just pay in cash

instead of using a credit card ? i can't find a anywhere online that says i can't or i can. thanks for the help if anyone does know

Okay I'm a long time Best Buy member. The only thing I can think of is that they want a credit card for identity purposes because every time Ive pre-ordered something they have checked my ID and the card to see if they have the same name. But since you put money down you should have a order number or receipt you and should present that on the release date and then they will tell you the remaining balance and how you would like pay for it so that means cash,card,gift card or what what even means of money Best Buy accepts

thank you i put the receipt in my wallet cause i figure i may need it and i'd be pissed off at myself if i threw it away and they needed it
