Ive got Call of Duty 4

Today my local Gamecrazy is getting Call of Duty 4 and i should have my copy by 2 o'clock. This may not be a big deal, but most of the time the public gets games the day after the release date, but i was told that the distric manager is "Going to the airport himself and picking up the games, and distributing them to his stores in middle Tennessee" So im just going on what i was told.

Flame me all you want, but once i get home today (about 2ish) ill post pics of the game to prove i have it, and after that ill play through the 1st level and give you my 1st impression of the game. I WONT post any spoilers if i find any in the 1st level, so dont feel afraid to check back :) I also wont be reviewing the multiplayer, because most people that are interested in it have already played it.

For those of you who care, thanks for reading and my review of the 1st level in Call of Duty 4 should be up in less that 10 hours!

I've got it too! Completed the single player campaign on normal last night. Had a bit of a go on multiplayer too, and planning on doing Veteran tonight. It's really exceeded my expectations in almost every way. I've written all about it in my Gamespot blog. Spoiler free, I promise!Jam_FDUK

I don't even think there is that much of a difference between SD and HD (shocking I know) I think it adds very little to the game.

What? Their is a tremendous difference between SD and any true HD experience. You must be playing on like a 10" screen if you believe this. The difference between 1080i and 1080p is less apparent than that between 480p and 720p.

p.s. Anything that makes the games more immersive (like more realistic graphics) as long as it does not affect gameplay/framerate is a good thing.

There are alot of variables here and I can't claim to have seen them all. I noticed that text looked alot better in HD - so things like posters on walls became alot clearer.

I just find that graphics can be a little over rated. When I first played COD 3 (and this was standard def) I was pretty blown away. I was walking up to random things, looking at them and in my head,saying "how cool does that look!" This lasted anywhere up to about2 minutes - then I actually started playing and forgot all about the sharpness and detail in the brick wall.

Don't get me wrong - its not like I think graphics are a bad thing, but it bugs me that people rate games purely on graphics . If you want awesome graphics, turn the xbox/ps3 off and look around the room.

LOL. You do know that is not from Red VS. Blue right? And as for this topic, this is the 2nd game that I have pre-ordered online from Best Buy and now it says out of stock. I am not sure when the game will get sent though.

Lynx ad? I saw it on some type of TV commercial. I forgot what the company was but it was about this woman that sings that to an employee in a grocery store. It might of been for a gum brand or something though.
