I was watching a movie on my 360, then about an hour or so later, I go to play a game and I can hear the sound, but there is no picture.

I checked the cables to make sure they were plugged in and tried the HD cables and regular and made sure the switch was on the right spot.

I also tried the HDMI cable but no luck.

Any suggestions? Is the the video output within the console messed up?

I'm thinking I'll need to ship it back to MS.

try this: turn off your system, and then turn it back on holding down both triggers and the Y button as the system starts up. This should reset the video settings to the bare minimum, and it might let you change a setting that may have been messed with

If this doesn't work, then your video port may be bad
