Ive never played Halo...should I bother?

Havent played halo 1 and 2 right........I feel like ive missed out.

I got halo 3 with my xbox 360,

should I bother getting the first two to play on my 360 to get the story before I play 3,

or with what games are out now, stuff it?

1 and 2 are better then 3 if you ask me i say get them all.

I'd say Halo 1 should be played by everyone who enjoys playing games, Halo 2 isn't realy necessary if you're not that into the story. If the story is really important to you then I'd say get em all.1_Hit_Killer

Exactly what he said. Halo 3 is the best in the series....followed by 1 and then 2. Part 2 wasn't saying much IMO

You could just go on Youtube and watch all the cinematics for the first two halo games so you have a brief overview of what's going onHitchy9

Halo 1, you should play it cus it's campaign is really awesome.

Halo 2 isn't that great unless your really into the story.

You could watch the cinematics as others mentioned but you still won't understand what's going on unless you play them all in order. There's no other way to experience it.Gregoroth

I agree. It is better to experience it yourself to understand the reason behind the story and gameplay.

No, the series is based around hype.

There is nothing to these games, people just want you to think their is.

If you get bored with most of the great FPS games, HALO isn't a bad second alternative.

Multiplayer aside, Halo doesn't offer up anything overly fantastic, but its nice to have Halos around just in case you finish with BioShock, Gears of War, HalfLife OrangeBox, Call of Duty 4, Condemned and Fear and you need something to play before the next great FPS comes along.
