To Check for Jasper: 1) Check Manufactuer Date (If the PRO is in the latter half of 2008 then you have a good chance of a Jasper). 2) Check the Wattage on the Console and Power Brick (If it reads 12.1 A you have yourself a Jasper). The Brick is most important because some consoles say a certain voltage on it (Like my Elite says 16.5 A) while the Birck says another (My Elite says 14.2 A). RROD: Three Red Rings of Death Basically General Hardware failure. When you get it, shut off your 360 and wait a while then try to turn it back on, if it's still there call Microsoft and you'll have to send it back to get a refurbished one. Provided you're still under the 3 year warranty which I suspect you are.

*cough* Prevent. Not prevert.

RROD/RLOD stands for Red Ring of Death Red Light of Death. It happens when your Xbox overheats and dies.

3RLOD is when the top left (1), bottom left (3), and bottom right (4) are illuminated. This is usually a problem with the GPU/heatsink and there are many post-production fixes. Also there is a 3 year warranty from Microsoft for this issue.

1RLOD is when the top left (1) is illuminated. This is likely an issue with the GPU/video port. It has a 1 year warranty.

4RLOD is when all four lights are illuminated, giving a complete circle. Get a new audio cable.

If you search xbox rrod error codes it'll explain them in detail. There are ways to get more codes, but you shouldn't really concern yourself with that.

One sure way to find out if you've a jasper chipset is to turn power brick upside down and look at the label-if you see 150 watt output on it you've got a jasper,if however it says 175 watt output you've got a Falcon chipset-still a good version though!

Dont get any of those intercoolers they are a pure waste of money and they dont do anything good for the system, they might even destroy it. The jasper's are suppost to be rrod free anyway

Basically it's a stab at Microsoft regarding a similar problem on the PC, BSOD or Blue Screen Of Death. BSOD is when Windows suffers a critical failure.
