Of course not

You need the correct power cord that goes with that hardware.

It will work fine without damaging your console.

Here's a quote from Ben Heck on the power supplies:

"Note how it has a slit in the middle of the top plastic bar. The plugs on the PSU's are designed in a way to be forwards not backwards compatible. That is, an original 203W PSU will fit in any Xbox 360, but because of these 'keying", a new 150W PSU will only fit in an Jasper. Likewise a Falcon PSU will fit in a Jasper but not vice-versa."

Check the back on a 360 and it should be 12.1 amps to be a Jasper.

It will not hurt the Xbox 360 to use an older power brick, this applies to all versions and power supplies, if it can easily fit, without forcing it in, it'll be fine. The power supplies are set up to supply the console with the maximum amount of wattage at peak performance. If you have a Jasper that only requires 150w, the brick will only supply 150w, because that is all that is being pulled out of it by the xbox. You will only hurt your console if you force a newer power adapter into an older console.

and on a side note, The MFR date does not determine what type of board it is! It can assist, but the sure fire way is to A: track it down via Lot# or B: Simply look to the lt of the serial number and look for the Ampere rating. 16.5a= Xenon or Zephyr 14..2a = Opus and Falcon 12.1a = Jasper, and perhaps this mythical Valhala board which I'll believe when I see. Actually I think that one was rumored to be 10.?a It doesn't really matter, because until Microshaft stops using this generic tinfoil as a thermal paster, and lead free solder. They're going to keepp breaking! Not a single board I've reflowed has broke down yet. 3yrs and counting! :) The secret REAL thermal paste and a eutectic alloy. The end IF you wish to pay me to fix/mod your 360... http://myspace.com/insanity_for_all
